For the rest of the week, Vera gave Jackson space to work on improving his company's sales. She was scared that she might be wrong after a few days passed without improvement.

She started to doubt herself and her Indian friend who was able to coach the designers in Jack's company in a matter of two days.

They created a lot of artifacts and were able to attach them to the clothes in the right positions. Some sewed the logo of the company with plain wool too.

She had gone to the company with Tim twice to give Jack lunch and he was too busy to even glance at them. That didn't bother her as long as he got his company operating normally like before.

The said Christmas season that everyone is expecting is fast approaching and many kinds of fashionable clothes have started trending to honor it in such a way that one would think it's only on December that people wear new clothes while it's something done everyday.

On one of those visits, she told Mrs Briggs to tell him that a seasonal greeting message can also be weaved and attached mostly on the T-shirts because it draws attention.

She also came across a small store displaying their new clothes and shoes, her eyes caught a little boy standing by the door as wealthier people were given passage to the showroom.

She almost stopped Max from driving past so she would go help the little boy go inside, but she also saw that his eyes were dreamily watching some children's clothes on display.

That told her that he wasn't interested in the show, but more on what he could never have. He's attired in rags and also barefoot, he is just imagining himself in one of those clothes.

Vera's heart went out to him, she couldn't bring herself to stop the car and go to the boy, she would probably cry her eyes out because he reminded her of when she ran away from one of the homes she was forced to serve at a very tender age.

She couldn't take the maltreatments and was able to escape, she wandered around the slums before she was found again and wasn't given a chance to run away again.

Had she not admired a girl in her parents car, licking an orange. To think about how that girl threw the orange at her face and told her that her ugly face makes her want to throw up.

Had she not liked one of the boys at the first foster homes she was taken to after her mother's boyfriend made her to start craving for sex.

Hadn't she taught the boy who was a year older than her how to do it, he had learnt and they secretly did it two times even as amateurs who didn't know what they were doing or the consequences of their act.

She can't think of the day that boy ganged up with his friends to beat her up because she fought with his younger sister who always finds reason to look for her trouble.

To think that he wasn't remorseful at all! She was taken to another home by their parents who said she was evil and only wanted to hurt their children.

Vera couldn't think of any other heartbreak worse than those two, even though she faced another one when she was infatuated with Kenneth, she can't compare it to what she felt as a rejected young girl.

She was able to defeat her fears and show them that they can't stop her star from shining, but she can't forget how she had to suffer and it's all because of her parents!

And Jessica was talking about forgiveness, her so-called parents know better than to show up in front of her again after everything they did to her.
