JACKSON'S POV

"Hi!" I beamed at Hannah as I opened the door.

"You look good, Jackson!" She chuckled, hugging me.

"You don't look bad either," I led her inside to sit down and wait while I called Vera. She would be very happy to see her best friend, especially when it is a surprise visit.

I wasn't wrong. She was excited when I met her in Tim's room and informed her about Hannah.

"I will be going to the office now. There's a board meeting that was rescheduled for today, and I can't afford to cancel it again. I just remembered," I told her as we slowly walked down the stairs.

She didn't reply instantly until after welcoming her friend and exchanging pleasantries.

"Is there something wrong at the company?" She asked worriedly. I guess she heard the sadness in my voice.

I went into the kitchen and got juice for Hannah before I took my keys, ready to leave. I had to tell her since she already sensed that something was wrong.

"Yeah, we keep losing sales. It got worse this month because I couldn't focus and think straight, and I got pissed off by the fact that I have over three hundred workers that I pay, and they never deliver! They are all a bunch of empty brains! I have no idea what to do as well, and it's getting out of hand," I explained.

"That is too bad. You have to take it easy on yourself, it happens sometimes," Hannah opted in.

Vera closed the space between us and cupped my face with her slender and soft palms. I gazed at her face.

"It happens, but this time around, it's too much, and some of our investors are already complaining, and I'm afraid they might opt out soon," I replied to Hannah's words, looking into Vera's comforting eyes.

"Honey, I believe in you and I know you can revive your company back. You started running the company from scratch, standing on your feet again is what I am waiting for. You are not the type to give up without a fight!" She praised me hopefully.

"Thank you for believing in me. I love you," I kissed her forehead.

"I love you more," she bubbled.

I flashed the surprised Hannah a smile and headed out.

"How did this miracle happen?"

I heard Hannah ask before I shut the door and went to my car. As I drove to the office, I couldn't stop thinking about what I should do to revive my company.

I'm happy that Vera has agreed to stay and also keep the baby. I'm also happy that she has opened up and trusts me now.

But I hate to think about my company's current state; it gets worse by the day, and I am confused about what to do.

The board meeting was a quick one. I thought one or more people would contribute or bring up at least a fashion idea that would help the production of new clothes, but no one did.

I couldn't blame them since I didn't have any. I could only mope at them and call off the meeting when I got tired of listening to their useless ideas.

The day ended with a dinner party with one of our potential clients, I had to so that I wouldn't lose the woman too.

When I reached home, the lights were on, but it was quiet. I guessed that Vera was reading a bedtime book for Tim to go to sleep because I heard whispers, and Monica must be out as usual.

I quietly kept the car keys aside on top of the table, took a bottle of brandy, and went outside to sit beside the swimming pool. I needed to be alone, I needed quietness and no distractions so I could think up something.

I paced around, sat down, drank half of the bottle of brandy, and tried to come up with something, but nothing came. I felt depressed. I undressed and dipped myself in the water.

"I didn't hear you come back, I was worried about you," Vera's voice made my head snap up.

"I'm sorry, I needed to be alone and I thought you might not appreciate the disturbance tonight," I forced a smile to my face.

"It's about the company, right?" She asked, sitting down beside the swimming pool.

I slowly drew her long legs into the cold water and placed my head on her lap. She caressed my hair with her fingers.

"I don't know what to do. Before, I was distracted by the fact that you were going to leave me, but now that it's settled, I can't even think straight," I answered.

"I thought about it too, and I have an idea, just that I don't know if you would accept it. It's a suggestion…" she paused and released a deep breath.

"J. T Comforts shouldn't be focused on clothes. Whether in vogue or outdated, people tend to use clothes longer. You know what comfort means, so why don't you create diapers, pads, undies, socks, and shoes, if possible? That way, the wholesalers and retailers would have no reason to go to some other companies to purchase this or that" She theorized.

"That would mean a new set of workers. And a lot of money to buy materials and… Shit, there's not much time. We are literally off the market already. We don't makeup to fifty percent profit anymore!"

"What about redesigning the already made clothes?"

I looked up at her face. "What do you mean? How possible is that?"

"Fashion trends forever. Do you know why? This is because some designs will always be revoked. When one thinks a style has faded, someone somewhere will add one or two things to that same design and it becomes a completely new design!" She explained vigorously.

"How do we redesign a finished product?" I couldn't believe such a thing could be done.

"I will show you, give me a few seconds," She rushed inside and came back with her mobile phone.

She searched for a picture in her gallery and showed it to me. I looked closely at the picture of some T-shirts and pants with badges attached to them.

"Have seen those countless times. You can design just anything and attach it to the already made clothes so it would become new ones, and I tell you, it's a blast!" She emphasized.

"I hope it works out; I don't know what this coming Christmas would look like without much sales from J.T. stores," I shrugged.

"Believe me, you will thank me later! Can you please laugh now? You have been so grumpy, and it scared the heck out of me!" She pinched my cheeks.

"I don't want to," I insisted, frowning my face the most.

"You must!" She laughed.

"You're not even funny!" I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth.

She dived into the water and slipped her fingers into my armpits. I stood solidly in the middle of the swimming pool and opened my arms for her to do her worst.

"Like seriously?" She laughed even more. She just wants to have fun and I will show her that I can be mean. I won't let her win.

I thought she would give up, but she hugged me from behind and slowly slid her fingers into my underpants to stroke my d*ck.

"Jesus, Vera! Don't play with me!" I exhaled.

"It's my favorite plaything," she ran her tongue over my neck.
