I still don't understand why Monica would hide all these from me. Her revelation is the worst that I have ever heard and I don't know what to do about it.

My mother knew and that explains her always standing by her and never spoken harshly to her no matter what she did or how much I complained to her about her behavior.

If any other person ever revealed this to me, I would have redesigned that person's face and left that person toothless, but she's saying it herself and crying as she hugged me.

Monica has many bad behaviors, but she can never joke about such a thing. She was the angel I used to love no matter what she did.

I haven't gotten over the fact that she changed overnight and started clubbing instead of bringing her friends over as usual.

She was supposed to be my queen. The only person that was gonna carry all of my kids and play with them in the garden inside our palace.

I pulled her away from me and cupped her face when she has cried to her heart's content and stared darkly into her sad eyes.

"Tell me that all of this is a prank," I begged, blinking my tears back.

"I wish I could say that, Jack. I was hoping that I would explain everything to you later on when I get better, but that hope died months ago when the doctor reminded me that I have just a little time left," she sniffed.

"I wondered why you suddenly became a different version of yourself. It's true that you have your flaws, everyone does, but I couldn't fathom why you of all people cautiously threw divorce papers on my face without blinking an eye," I gaped at her face.

"I don't regret my actions. Now I'm certain that Tim would have a better mother and you won't be lonely even when I'm not there. I can rest peacefully now," she slowly turned to look at Vera.

I followed her gaze and that's when I remembered that Hannah is in the room and she was holding Vera's hands. Vera was sobbing silently.

"I have the evidence against Prince Kenneth George. I retrieved a hard disk that contains clips of his mistreatment to women. He's a very cruel man and doesn't deserve to live," she added as she placed her head on my chest.

"Does that even matter now? We have to go to the hospital and…"

"No!" She pulled herself away from me and stood inches away. "I just want to spend more time with… all of you." She said, glancing at Hannah and Vera.

"I'm so sorry, Monica! I didn't know you were going through a lot." Vera stood up and hugged her tightly.

Hannah didn't want to be left out, she joined them and they had another emotional moment as they cried, then consoled each other.

"This is the reason why I didn't want to tell anyone about this. Look at everyone now!" Monica wiped her tears.

"See… don't you think we should give the two of you space to spend time with each other." Hannah suggested.

"No, please, don't leave, I want to stay with everyone of you. Jack, you also have to call my father and also your family. Invite them to dine with us in this big palace," Monica said.

She didn't wait for my reply before she took Vera and Hannah's hand and led them upstairs.

"We have to go grocery shopping with Timothy and get enough foodstuffs to cook a lot of food for our visitors!"

She was saying as they went upstairs. Vera paused to look at me before she followed them into Tim's room.

I did just as she said and decided to accept my fate. She was just as right as she was wrong, so all I can do for her is to make her happy for the time she has left.
