AZMIRA, THE MEN’S DOMAIN
“Too much blood is leaving his arm,” Barbara said, sounding a little concerned.
“Keep the cloth pressed on it,” William said taking a glance at Barbara who was gently pressing her shawl on Paul’s arm. “We need to sew him,”
“Then we sew him now, Anna has all the equipment,” William replied.
“No, we have to clean his wound first,” Barbara argued.
“How? We don’t have anything with us,” William asked.
The sight of flickering lights caught William’s eyes.
“There,” William suggested, pointing at the flickering lights. “A shop, we’ll buy detergents and everything there.”
Barbara moved the blanket over groaning Paul’s head, covering him. “Men?”
“Yes, we have no choice but to enter the men’s domain,”
Barbara frowned. “We’ll be fine,” the sleigh slid on the snow causing some of the snow to splash in the air. The sleigh drove passed a tree with a poster of a girl child written: Missing.

The few detergents, bandages, pills and a pair of scissors dropped on the counter as the man with ginger hair, who seemed to be in his late forties lifted his eyes onto William who stood before him, with blood stained on his hands.
“Please add the sack,”
The man behind the counter nodded pulling out a small sack, loading the products inside it, his eyes on William who was running his eyes around the small shop. “You wounded?”
William’s body immediately tensed. “It’s not me,” he finally said.
The man rose an eyebrow. “It’s my wife,”
The man’s eyes widened.
“Wife?”
William nodded. “Yes, she accidentally cut her hand,” taking the small sack from the man’s hand. “How much?”
“Ten coins,” the man behind the counter finally said, his voice sounding unclear.
William pulled out ten coins from his coat’s pocket and handed them to the man behind the counter.
“Thank you,” William said.
The man nodded as William walked toward the door, before he could get to it the man yelled. “I have a cabin in the back!”
William immediately stopped walking. “I could let you use it,”
William slowly turned to face the man. “It’s not safe having a wounded person moving around here, there are many deadly predators here in Azmira, blood can attract them.”
“Thank you for your kindness but….”
“If it’s coins you are concerned about, ’ll let you use it for free,”
“Bu…”
“Do it for the woman at least,” pulling out a key and placed it on the counter.
William glanced out the open door staring at Barbara who was placing another blanket over the children’s blanket.
“Fine, one night,” moving to the counter, taking the key.
The man nodded. “Very well,”
William walked out the door, causing the small bell on top of the entrance to tinkled as William shut the door behind him, running toward the sleigh.
