PARADISE?
His eyes stared at the fresh bread and soup before him. “You should eat up, you’ll need energy,” the woman began, her eyes on Paul.
“I’m not hungry,” he lied.
“I’ll eat for you,” the sliver haired boy said reaching his hand towards Paul’s enamel plate.
“Jack,” the woman warned calmly.
His forehead frowned in frustration, moving his hand away from Paul’s plate. “Fine,” he mumbled.
“Go check on Ann and get Paul a coat and boots,”
A sigh escaped Jack’s lips while getting off his chair. “Of course,”
She then turned to face Paul. “I know it’s not easy to just trust us but we are on your side,” she said, rocking the basket on the chair beside her. “All I want is to save the future of children.”
Paul lifted his eyes up and stared at the woman who had her eyes on the basket. “Bu…But you are…”
“Adult?” she completed the sentence for him. “Yes, I’m an adult, an adult which has witnessed the wrath of children,”
Paul’s eyes widened. The memory of the shimmering book written; Wrath of Children revisiting his mind.
“I’ve seen thousands of parents here in Trankin get butchered and their children stripped off from them, all for what? Riches? And power?” her voice sounded cold and sharp.
She turned to face the twins who were a few distance from them, near a shelf of thousand books which they were packing them inside the huge box. The shelve reminding Paul of the Midget’s library.
“Their parents were butchered by men, demanding to take them, if it wasn’t for Will they would have been the Dark Sorcerer meal as we speak.”
“Dark Sorcerer?” Paul asked, his body tensed.
The woman nodded, pulling the small blue blanket, over the basket’s opening. A memory of him reading the shimmering book in the Midget’s library coming back to his mind.
He turned the page again and illustration of the hairy creatures facing him appeared. His eyes widened, as he ran his hand on it.
For men have tied their souls with the Dark Sorcerer.
Paul turned the next page and illustration of children bones appeared.
For she devours on their flesh and innocence.
“Every child is taken up to
“All children are taken to the Dark Sorcerer for gold coins,” she said, getting up.
“B…Baphomet, is also taking her there?” he asked.
The woman stopped walking. “Yes,” she finally answered after a moment of silence. “She’s taken to the Mountains of Bones and she might be…”
“No!” he refused, banging his hand on the table, causing the two twins to turn and face them. “I will find her, I have to find her!”
“P…”
“No, I will find my sister," getting off the chair. “I promised her that I’ll take her to paradise.
The woman’s eyes widened as she turned to face him.
“Paradise?” her voice sounded hoarse. “You know about Paradise?”
Moving towards him. Paul bit his lower lip realizing he had said more than he should have. “I….” he stuttered.
