The Way Things Change

Chapter 58

The next One Direction world tour had just started and we were already flying to the most amazing places. All over the boys were greeted by screaming fans, trying to get a picture and an autograph. They loved it. I was lucky once again, to be able to join them. I was very thankful for my working arrangement. It took me all around the world, made me see my best friends every day, not to forget my boyfriend. I was lucky that I didn't have to miss him for months at a time, like Eleanor, Luisa and Sophia. Perrie missed Zayn as well, but she was also going on tour, so she was staying busy. Eleanor was getting used to it now, and she was going to join us whenever she could. Same for Sophia and Luisa.

Eleanor had asked around about Sophia, to see if it really was her at the party. It turned out to be a girl called Maura, who just happened to look very much like Sophia, but the big difference between them was the eyes. So there was no way Sophia had been cheating, to Eleanor's and my relief.

Since my birthday, London had been covered in snow, which meant we had fights in the snow and made snowmen and what not. But after a while I longed for summer again, and now on tour it was lovely and warm. I slowly got a tan again and I loved not being covered up all day. It was now 2 years since I met the boys and they had worked wonders on me.

I still had my insecurities, but I embraced them more. I could walk confident in a bikini, I could feel sexy and wanted. I felt like a good friend and it was all because of them. And Danielle, Eleanor and Perrie of course. I had recently also come very close to Jesy, since she had insisted to work out with me almost everyday back home in London. And she was also the one to keep pondering me on joining them on tour. I had offered to come visit, and when I did, I got to meet a lot of amazing people. But unfortunately I couldn't stay for long, before I had to return to the lads. Zayn and I became closer friends since we spent the time in the plane together. Of course he was joining to see his girlfriend.

And yes, he still had a secret. And he didn't want to tell me. Yet. The rest of the band knew, but they said I couldn't be trusted with the secret. I had tried several times to get it out of them, with all sorts of methods, but none of them worked. But Zayn had promised that I would know when we got home from tour. Which was in about 3 weeks. I couldn't wait.

I recently talked to Danielle again. I didn't talk with her as often as I would like, but whenever we talked, we just picked up right where we left. She had met someone. Also a dancer. And she was really happy with him. And if she was happy, I was happy for her. But I still thought Liam was the right for her. I kept my mouth shut though, just as I had done with Liam when he found Sophia. I loved Sophia as well, but I just didn't think she was the right one. But I knew that what was meant to happen would happen, and there was nothing I could do about it. That's just the way life and love worked.

"Hey Lux, can I play with you?"

I was bored backstage and I found Lux sitting in the dressing room, playing with her dolls. She was looking tired, due to the fact that is was pretty late, but she was one stubborn girl. She didn't want to go to sleep, even after 3 failed attempts.

After a while her head started to drop, indicating that she was about to fall asleep. I quickly picked her up, holding her tight to my chest. Her tiny arms wrapped around my neck, holding on tightly and I started humming, so she would fall asleep. I made my way through the big hall and found Lou's tour bus. I quietly greeted the security, who were keeping watch over the area, before I entered. Still humming I gently placed Lux in her bed. Her eyes fluttered slightly, but thankfully she didn't wake up. I placed a kiss on her forehead before making my way out again.
