ARGH!
I was awoken by a pain shooting through my stomach. And then it was gone again. Like nothing had happened. What the hell?
But now I was awake. What was I supposed to do? Should I call for someone? No, this isn't an emergency, I'm just awake. I was hungry though. Maybe that was enough? Should I or shouldn't I? What was appropriate?
But before I could decide, two girls came walking in. Eleanor and Perrie. They were talking quietly together. They looked like they were hiding something. They had that look on their faces, I knew it all too well. They were carrying a bag. Hopefully with some clothes I could wear, instead of this. And hopefully I would be able to go home today. I wasn't ill anymore. Just a bit weak, but I could recover at home.
"Hey honey, how are you feeling?" Eleanor asked when they noticed that I was awake. They came to sit next to my bed. They both looked better than... yesterday?.. well, Eleanor had cleaned up and wasn't crying anymore. They both looked happy.
"I'm good. Just a bit tired. And hungry!" They looked at each other mischievously. What were they up to? "What? What is it?" I asked.
"We thought you would be hungry, so... we brought you food. You probably wouldn't like the food they serve here, so... here you go!" Perrie said happily, placing a package in my lap. It smelled heavenly. I opened it to find roasted veggies and a steak. The sight and the smell made my mouth water.
"Oh you guys!" I cooed. "Thank you so, so much. You really shouldn't have!" I smiled brightly. They knew me so well. I started to eat, almost swallowing the food. It was absolutely perfect.
"Slow down, we don't want you to choke now!" Eleanor laughed. "We went through a lot to get that in here, do you have to enjoy it!"
"I really do love you for this." I said my mouth full of food. I know, I know, where were my manners? But right now I didn't care.
"We love you too. And that's why we have to talk to you." Perrie was looking serious now. "Look, we know the guys were hard on you yesterday, but they were right. The way they approached it wasn't, but their point was valid." Eleanor was nodding next to her.
"You have to tell us things like that. We can't have you risking your life. And we already made this deal, what, 2 years ago? You were supposed to tell us if anything was wrong, that way we could help."
"I really am sorry. You have to believe me! If I could go back in time, I would tell you, but right now there is nothing else I can do but apologize."
"We do believe you Kate." Eleanor took over, taking my hand. "But you need to see the seriousness in this. You almost died. We were all so worried for you. And Harry. Harry was devastated. He didn't really eat, he didn't want to leave your side. He felt guilty for not knowing."
Again a pain shot through my stomach, making me gasp for air. My hands immediately flew down to put pressure on the pain spot.
"What's going on? Are you okay?" Perrie's voice was in a higher pitch than normal. She was standing next to me now, gripping my shoulder. "Should I call the nurse?"
