They told me she could have serious brain damage because of her restriction from oxygen out in the water. They also said she could always bounce back, but I think they were just saying that.
I wondered if the nurses thought I was a stalker or something.
I mean, I didn't even know her. But she didn't have anyone. Nobody even knew she was here. She was probably missing somewhere, and everybody was wondering what happened.
But if that were true... wouldn't the police have checked with the hospitals? Wouldn't they have put it together by now?
Since they hadn't, maybe nobody knew she was missing. Maybe she didn't have anyone looking out for her when she was awake, either.
