Something changed. Nicky called me and said that she was looking better last night, even moved her hand to touch the nurse who was fixing her IV bag. The nurse who was there said that she thought she heard her speak.
The nurses had gotten excited, thought maybe she was going to wake up.
But Nicky called me again an hour later and said that her condition didn't really change. It was just a muscle spasm, probably, and any kind of vocal sounds she made was probably the same.
She said it's been four weeks. The odds of herwaking up after all of this were really slim.
