"He needed his jacket back."She sounded so innocent with that response, it only made the anger seething within me grow. I watched Billy slide next to her and stare at my hand resting on her thigh before quickly peering back at her eyes. I cleared my throat and it pulled his attention from her.
As he held the beer out to me, I imagined taking that bottle and breaking it over that prick's head. If only she knew what Billy wanted from her...what he wants from every woman he comes into contact with. Maybe then she wouldn't have allowed him to be here. Before I could get too lost in thought, her hand rested on my shoulder as she looked at me with confusion in her eyes but a sweet smile on her face.
"Eddie."
I hummed back in response and she gave me a look as if I should know what she was trying to say to me. I guess I got a little too side tracked. I mimicked her confusion and she rolled her eyes in mock annoyance.
"I asked if you could go grab my ashtray for me."
I huffed quietly at the request as I dug the end of my lit cigarette into the counter to put it out. I didn't wanna leave Billy alone with her any longer than he already had been. Yes, the ash tray was just in her bedroom but that dick could still try to make a move on her while I'm gone. Finally, I just a gave a quick nod and went to walk out of the kitchen. I stopped quickly when I heard her voice again.
"Oh, and grab one of my candles please, I don't want it to smell too much like cigarettes in here."
I nodded again and balled my fists as I walked out of the kitchen. I made sure to make haste to get what she asked for so Billy wouldn't have much of a chance to do or say anything before I got back to her. Finally at her room, I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard the two of them laughing loudly in the kitchen. The sound that would usually make my heart swell now made it drop. I quickly drew in a deep breath to calm myself before throwing open the bedroom door.
As I searched the room for her ashtray, I heard footsteps coming toward the door. I kept up my search despite the noise.
"Hey freak."
Billy's hushed, cocky voice rang in my ears as I finally spotted the ashtray. Held it tightly in my hand before slowly turning around to see Billy leaning against the doorframe.
"What do you want?"
I snapped, the anger clearly showing in my voice as my gaze burned into him. I heard a low, hardly audible chuckle erupt from his throat and I had to stop myself from throwing the glass ashtray at him. His head fell slightly before quickly returning to its original position but his expression was changed. He wore a look of slight jealousy on his face that brought me a tinge of joy. That joy was only amplified by Billy's next comment.
"Don't get too comfortable having y/n around."
I couldn't help but laugh at his words. I stepped toward him and he shifted up off the doorframe. I held my hands up in mock surrender as I glared at him with a smirk.
"You can try your luck but I can promise you...you won't get very far. She's mine."
"That so? Doesn't seem like it."
My arms dropped to my sides and my smirk wavered slightly. Billy seemed to notice this and gave another low, barely audible chuckle.
"Seems to me like you haven't claimed that hot piece of ass in the kitchen. She's fair game, freak."
"I haven't claimed her?"
I paused to laugh, louder than I intended but I brushed that off. My gaze hit the floor for a moment before returning to Billy.
"You are both so fucking clueless."
Another set of footsteps appeared behind Billy which caused him to swing around quickly before he had the chance to respond to my comment. As he turned, I caught a glimpse of a very confused y/n. I gave a soft chuckle before pushing past Billy, intentionally driving my shoulder into him as I walked by. My smirk turned into a soft smile as I walked up to her and handed her the ashtray in my hand.
"Sorry, I got lost looking for the bathroom and thought Eddie could steer me in the right direction."
Billy said, attempting to make the confrontation seem less hostile. Y/n hummed and nodded slowly, clearly showing that she didn't believe that for a second. Once the glass was out of my hand and in her's, I pulled her into me by her waist. I then quickly made a show of peppering kisses on her neck and shoulder. This earned me multiple light giggles from her and a clearly frustrated Billy a couple feet behind me.
"Okay okay, Eddie. Let's get back to the kitchen. I need another beer."
She said through giggles, completely ignoring the fact that I hadn't gotten everything she asked for. I pressed on last kiss on her jawline before allowing her to leave my grasp and turn away to go back to the kitchen. I shot Billy a quick glare before following behind her, leaving him to process what had just transpired.

Music was now loudly playing throughout the house and the three of us were all clearly tipsy. We sat on the living room floor as y/n attempted to get Billy and I to make small talk with each other by asking random questions, just as the two of us had done before. As I answered each of her questions, I intentionally got very touchy with her. Running my hand up and down her thigh, pushing hair behind her ear, kissing her jawline every now and then. All of these clearly frustrated Billy as he sat adjacent to us with me between the two of them.
"Alright...I have a question."
Y/n's attention quickly fell on Billy as he spoke. This brought back that anger from before as I awaited Billy's question. I just knew it was going to be something to try and get me riled up.
"So...how long has...this been a thing?"
Billy's fingers switched between us as he gestured at the two of us. Y/n giggled awkwardly as I glared daggers into Billy. I knew the game he was playing at and I wanted no part of it.
"Billy, I already told you...we aren't exactly together."
"Yet."
I chimed in as Billy shifted back with a cocky grin on his face. Y/n quickly looked over at me, her face beet red and hopeful. I glanced over at her and watched as she shivered a bit. At this reaction, I smiled, now knowing that 'it' was working.
"Just trying to prove a point."
Billy commented but my gaze stayed on y/n as her's shifted to Billy with confusion. He had no clue that he was playing right into my hands.
"Excuse me?"
She barked as her expression changed from confusion to anger in a split second. I took my hands off her and mimicked Billy's move of leaning back with that cocky expression.
"Hey, don't get so pissy, I was just saying—"
"No. If you're gonna be in this house, you're gonna drop that shit. Now."
She retorted quickly as pride surged through me at her reaction. Billy rolled his eyes and sighed in defeat. He shook his head and shifted back to his original position.
"Fine."
I gave a breathy chuckle at his reaction to the whole ordeal as y/n's gaze shifted back to me. Her expression softened quickly and another surge of pride flowed through me. I rested my hand back on her thigh and watched as her face went red again. Almost as quickly as her expression had softened, she turned her face away from me. It was clear that she was embarrassed. Billy had very obviously gotten more frustrated at the sight of this.
"One more question...what did you mean when you said both of us were clueless?"
