Crystalline Chaos (Ninjago x reader)

Chapter 3

Ninja's POV

A few days had passed since Lloyd attacked Jamanakai Village and everyone was on high alert. Wu started to meditate even more than he had before so that he could get the most guidance that he could get from the Spirit Smoke, but sadly, more visions of the future have eluded him so far, which was making him frustrated. Oh well! At least he wasn't being interrupted-

"My turn! Uh, it's my turn!"

"Oh, you want a little more? Take this!"

"Yeah? How about a little of this?"

"Monkey paw to the head!"

"Ninja, roll!"

    Never mind. After he had finally tired of their constant shouting, he got up and checked out the video game room, expecting to find them there. However, he found the room empty, catching him off guard.

"Dragon punch!" He heard Jay yell once more and quickly followed the noise out to the courtyard, where he saw all of his students' training. Jay was deflecting arrows with his weapon whilst Cole was practicing on the dummies. Kai was practicing his Spinjitzu and Zane was meditating.
    Suddenly Zane got up and started rushing around the courtyard. First, he jumped in front of Jay, then he stole Cole's weapon for the dummy test. Finally, he used Spinjitzu to freeze the entire courtyard, remaining completely oblivious to the frustration he had created amongst his brothers. The three regrouped, glaring slightly at Zane as he continued his training without a care in the world.

"This roof isn't big enough for the four of us." Kai said as he rubbed his sore behind.

"Correction: This roof isn't big enough for him." Cole said in an angry voice as he glared at Zane.

"It's like he's in his own world. I BET HE CAN'T EVEN HEAR US!" Jay shouted at Zane in his frustration but was promptly ignored by the white ninja. Sensei Wu slowly walked up to his students, confused by the sudden stop in their training, when Kai said:

"Sensei, Zane's...weird." Wu raised his eyebrow slightly in surprise. He was not expecting this comment from Kai.

"What is weird? Someone who is different or someone who is different than you?"

"No, Sensei. He's 'weird' weird." Cole said as the three took a moment to remember Zane's antics before Kai sighed.

"We like the guy. He's really smart. He's just...a little off sometimes."

"Zane is a brother and brothers are often different. I should know. And do not forget what he dealt with when he confronted Lloyd." Wu said with a stern look which made all of the ninjas think about what Zane had told them of what he had noticed during the attack on Jamanakai Village.

Zane jumped from roof to roof as he watched the snakes hypnotize the villagers left and right. As he jumped around, he noticed Lloyd running away with a cart filled with stolen candy.

"Ha! Consider this a warning, ninja! Mwahahahaha!" He laughed maniacally, but Zane was going to ensure that he got what he deserved for invading the village.

"Ninja, go!" He shouted as he used his shurikens to stop the cart, but Lloyd would not give up so easily and turned to him, throwing candy at him which stopped him from the lecture he was about to give the young Garmadon.

"You have already taken away so much from me! You took away my father, my pride, and even the one person who was willing to help me! I hate you ninja! And you will all suffer my wrath! RETREAT!"

After that, Zane seemed to become more and more restless by the day. He was almost always training nowadays with very few rests in between. When he was not resting he was checking up on (Y/n) who was still out cold after she fainted the day Lloyd attacked. No one knew why he was doing it, especially because (Y/n) was Lloyd's accomplice and thus an enemy, but no matter how much they asked, they would not get an answer from him. Before they could think about it anymore, they heard the sound of the doorbell ring, causing all of them to perk up.
