Crystalline Chaos (Ninjago x reader)

Chapter 4

Ninja's POV

"It's been a whole dang week, and still no one can figure out what is happening with that treacherous duo!" Kai exclaimed in frustration as he punched the punching bag in front of him harshly.

"Well, they are traveling with only the two of them, so that would make it harder to find out where they are." Zane responded calmly as he continued working with his shurikens.

"Exactly! What's more, we have bigger things to worry about! Like dying of training too much, or being transformed into snakes and never being human again due to not having an antidote, or-OW!" Jay started rambling before hissing in pain as the butt of Cole's scythe came into contact with the back of his head.

"Guys, I get the frustration, but we have bigger things to worry about. Until those two make a move, our best bet is to try to answer the riddle Sensei gave us and find out who the Green Ninja is." Cole said before sighing. "Wherever they are, we need to find out what they are planning, but we can't do that until we have taken care of the these things."

    The group grew silent at that, before slowly continuing their training. After they returned from destroying the treehouse, they found the Monastery in ruins, with the dragons burning in their den. After releasing them, they quickly looked for (Y/n), or what was left of her, only to find nothing. There was no body, no bag, no nothing. After finding nothing by the Monastery they searched for her in the nearby woods, thinking she might have hidden there until it was safe, only to find nothing once again. They tried not to think about it too much, but they still felt worried about the young woman as she had still not recovered from her wounds.
    These feelings disappeared though after they received a tip-off from a Hypnobrai at the junkyard after they attacked Jay's parents. Apparently, (Y/n) had run off with Lloyd whilst the Monastery burned, and no one had seen them since. After hearing that, everyone was on their guard as their theories of her being an accomplice or lackey of Lloyd's seemed to be true in light of this new information. So for the past week after the events of finding the Bounty and saving Jay's parents, they had kept an eye out for the duo, but nothing has come up.

"It's just so frustrating! She lived with us for a bit, so who knows what she knows?! Maybe she was pretending to be unconscious and was listening in on our conversations! Maybe she is helping that kid organize revenge against us and the Serpentine! She's a complete wild card, we have no idea what she's capable of! Argh!" Kai let out a frustrated cry before kicking the punching bag off of its hinges leaving him gasping for air at the sudden exertion.
    Zane flinched as a stab of guilt went through him at those words. He had spoken about himself and his brothers quite a bit with her after all. If she is truly Lloyd's accomplice and is planning something, then the way she got her information to revenge on them would be his fault.

"Don't worry, we'll catch them soon. After all, how could they hide from a group of ninjas with a network all over the country?" Cole said with a confident smirk, breaking Zane out of his thoughts as he nodded before jumping at a loud, excited gasp coming from Jay.

"THAT'S IT! What if the answer to the riddle is...wait for it...TEAMWORK! Think about it, without teamwork, you can't accomplish anything! Because we're a team, we can defeat anything that comes in our path, so of course that's the best way to defeat your enemy!" The other three stared at him for a moment as they processed what he just said, before lighting up with a sense of victory.

"You're right, it has to be that! Good thinking Jay!" Kai said excitedly before rushing to the door. "Come on! Let's tell Sensei so that we can finally focus on what's important here: defeating Lloyd and (Y/n) and finding out who the Green Ninja is!"

The ninja quickly walked up to Sensei Wu, who seemed to be expecting them, with smug expressions on their faces.

"Oh. You must have found the answer to what is the best way to defeat an enemy." He said with a smile, which made all of the ninja nod. Cole gave him a confident smirk, as he was certain they were correct.
