(Y/n)'s POV
(Y/n) stared at the cracks in the brick wall outside the window, thinking. If she connected those three strange lines, they would act as petals and create a flower. However, if she took those two vertical lines with all of the smaller cracks connecting them, she would have a ladder. Yet with a strangely seamless crack, she could create a dragon. She hummed softly as her mind created beautiful pictures out of the drab cracks in the wall, turning them into little artworks in her own world.
"Good, keep it up." She snapped out of her thoughts and turned around, finding Kai encouraging Lloyd with oven mitts on his hands.
"Ha! Fists of fury! Unh! You can't even see 'em move, I'm so fast! Ha!" Lloyd exclaimed as he punched, making (Y/n) giggle as her tail curled around her.
"Careful now, those are big words for a little fella." She cautioned kindly and Kai nodded.
"Save the gloating. It can only be used against you by your enemy." Kai warned him with a smirk.
"Oh, please. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me." Lloyd boasted before kicking Kai off his feet. Kai only laughed and shook his head before turning back to Lloyd with a smirk.
"Whoa, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinky toe." He teased as he curled his toes to emphasize his point. (Y/n) smiled and helped him up onto his feet before turning to Lloyd.
"You're doing very well, but there are still a lot of things you'll have to learn." She told him as she affectionately rubbed the top of his head.
"I see the student has become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the four ninja and (Y/n)." Sensei Wu said after a sip of tea with a smile on his face. At the sound of his voice, (Y/n) flinched as she remembered what she had accidentally overheard last night.
"I fear there is a great disturbance in the force."
She shook her head and sighed. (Y/n) still didn't understand why he said that last night, but she wasn't going to be nosy about it. She could only prepare as best she could alongside the others.
"Great, now that lesson is over, how about some target practice...on Kai?" Cole grinned mischievously as Kai's smirk dropped to a look of horror. Thankfully for the red ninja, Sensei Wu stepped in and shook his head.
"You'll each get your turn, but first, I don't want you to be late for your next lesson with Nya." he told Lloyd who whined, frustrated.
"Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" He asked, annoyed at having not learned it yet. Wu sighed and placed a hand on his nephew's shoulder with a smile.
"Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found." He told him. Lloyd groaned in frustration and stomped off to his next lesson with Nya, (Y/n) getting up as well and grabbing her bag before following him. Even though the lessons were for Lloyd, she liked to observe and learn alongside him, so she often accompanied him during his classes.
Together, the two walked up to the roof where Nya was waiting with the Ultra Dragon. Ultra perked up its head with yellow markings as they approached, roaring excitedly as he did so. (Y/n) smiled and started to pet the overexcited dragon's head who nudged into her roughly as it begged for her attention. She hadn't spent much time with Ultra, but the dragon had been incredibly interested in her and she loved every second she spent with the gentle beast."Hello sweetie, how are you?" She said with a purr before laughing as the black and blue marked heads also started to ask for her attention as well by bumping her back, wings, and arms whilst whining. (Y/n) noticed Nya rolling her eyes from the corner of her eye whilst she petted the head with the red markings, her cheeks coated in a bright red blush as a familiar warmth radiated from her chest. Nya quickly dispelled the feelings though and turned to Lloyd instead.
