(Y/n)'s POV

The dream started off as it usually did, with brilliant colors she could never describe. She watched them surround her and sighed, at ease in this beautiful world of colors when she heard something creak. She opened her eyes and found herself in a strange room. It looked faded and confused like it wasn't there. And yet it looked so...familiar.

"(Y/n)!" She jumped as the door was slammed open and turned towards the intruder with a slight glare on her face. The figure had no face, and no clothes, it was merely a black silhouette of a person. She wanted to ask them who they were, but she couldn't control her movements as her body rolled its eyes before turning towards the figure on her chair which rolled with her movements.

"#$!@%#! Why do you always have to slam my door open?" She groaned out, frustrated, but this only made the figure laugh glitchily.

"Because~ Anyways, what are you up to?" They asked as they came up close behind her to look at the screen of her computer which made (Y/n) try to shield it from them.

"Hey! Who just looks at another person's screen like that?! At least ask!" She complained, but her complaint fell on deaf ears as the figure looked at it anyway.

"Wow! Looks complex. A bit too complex for this hour. Did the boss ask you to do this?" They asked. (Y/n) felt her body freeze at that which made the other sigh. "I knew it. You really shouldn't let them push you this much...it's really not good for you."

"I know, I know. It's just...I need the money and anyway, I like the job and %^$%# well enough to do this at the very least. Don't worry, I'll try and get some proper sleep tonight." She promised, which only made the figure place its hands on its hips.

"Are you actually going to this time? You always say you will, yet you never do!" (Y/n) groaned and placed her hands over her face.

"God, don't remind me. I know, I just..." She trailed off and the figure gently grabbed her hands.

"Hey, hey. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm just worried because..."

"Gah!" (Y/n) yelped as she felt something hit her on the head. Confused, she rubbed her head before looking up, finding Nya glaring down at her with a ruler in hand as the others giggled in the background. She just stared back up at her, flabbergasted as she tried to register what was going on. Did...she just hit me?

"I know my lessons aren't exciting, but you still need to pay attention (Y/n)! This is important and if you sleep through it then you will miss something you desperately need to know." Nya scolded her. She drooped a little in her seat but nodded.

"Yeah, sorry Nya, won't happen again." She told the girl with an apologetic grin, whose glare softened before sighing and turning back around.

"It better not. Anyways, as I was saying, some villagers unearthed the remains of this Fangpyre a few miles away. It predates the Golden Age, and must be hundreds of years old..."

As Nya went on with the lesson, (Y/n) tried to fight her guilt. She had been resting her head on Zane's shoulder as she had waited for Nya to begin the lesson, but whilst waiting she had accidentally fallen asleep! This is probably because she had stayed up almost all night, making it up to Lloyd for leaving to Zane's old home without him. She groaned and buried her head in her arms in shame, which made Zane pause and turns to her with a concerned look on his face.

"Are you alright?" He asked her quietly and she nodded before yawning, causing him to chuckle. "Lloyd kept you up late?"

"Yeah...He's a wonderful kid, but dang am I sleepy!" She whined before quickly straightening her back and grabbing her notebook, realizing just now that she had still made no notes since waking up. "Shoot! She's told us a lot of important stuff already hasn't she?! Oh shoot! Can I copy your notes later? I'm so sorry, I just don't want to miss anything."
