3rd POV
The Bounty was flying through a storm towards Torchfire Mountain, the storm causing it to sway back and forth precariously as well as its occupants. Nya, Kai, (Y/n), and Jay were relaxing in the dining room, waiting until they got to their destination. Jay was eating whilst Nya sat observing the Fangblades and (Y/n) rested against Kai. She seemed to have not quite recovered from yesterday and, even though she tried to stay awake, ended up falling asleep on Kai's shoulder. Kai didn't mind though, she wasn't heavy and it was oddly soothing to have her resting on him like that. The silence continued for a moment until Nya turned to the rest of the group.
"Why is it that Torchfire Mountain is the only place we can destroy the Fangblades?" She asked aloud
"'Cause, the Fangblades are made from the original teeth of the Devourer. They're so strong they can only break down in extraordinary heat." Kai explained before adjusting his position so that he and (Y/n) could both rest more comfortably.
"Uh, could someone pass the salt?" Jay asked, and to his convenience, the Bounty tilted in such a way that the salt fell right into his hand. "Hey, thanks." He said with a smile and a wink as he put the salt on his sandwich. Just as he did that, Cole came through the door, looking green and ill as he groggily swayed from side to side.
"Please. No one talk about food." Cole groaned out before yelping as he was thrown from side to side by the rocking of the Bounty. "How much longer until we get there?"
"Not long. Hey, Cole, you're looking a little green over there. How'd you like a mucus salt sandwich?" Jay asked poor Cole, who immediately started retching before rushing off to vomit. Jay laughed before turning back to the other two. "Speaking of green, who would've guessed little Lloyd Garmadon turned out to be the Green Ninja?"
"I know. He was such a brat at first. It's hard to believe he's gonna become the greatest ninja that ever lived." Nya said, still not quite over it.
"Where is that little runt?" Kai asked after clearing his throat.
"He wanted to train on his own, ya know? Become his own man and all that jazz. He also wanted to try out his new, modified outfit. It needed a lot of stitches to stop it from getting in his way." (Y/n) suddenly spoke with a yawn, causing the others to jump in surprise. They had not realised she had woken up!
"Good morning, sunshine. Did you sleep well?" Kai asked with a playful, teasing smile. (Y/n) didn't respond at first before widening her eyes as she realised what she was doing and leaping away from him, blushing profusely.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Kai! I didn't mean to fall asleep!" She apologized, nervously shaking her hands in front of her, but Kai only laughed.
"Haha, don't worry about it, you must've been really tired after yesterday, huh?" Kai asked to which she sighed and rested her head on the table.
"You have no idea...I really enjoyed the party and all, but it was draining dealing with the Serpentine and staying in control." She yawned again and the others shared a glance. They often forgot about her abilities considering they were very lowkey, but they never forgot about her moments. They had never seen it in action before, but from how she described it, it sounded horrible. But they would be lying if they said they weren't intrigued.
"Are your abilities always that draining?" Jay asked as he took another bite of his sandwich.
"Yeah, it's really exhausting. I like that I feel the emotions of others, it's a handy skill, but it's hard because I can never tell what's mine and what's someone else's. And when I'm trying not to lose control, it takes even more energy." She explained shortly and a soft 'oh' came from the blue ninja as he took another bite of his sandwich.
