Chapter 6

3rd POV

"First, I'll stomp on his tail. Then when he turns, a thunderclap to his ears. Then when he's stunned, I'll disarm him." Lloyd said with a triumphant grin as he clapped his hands together. The group was peacefully drinking tea when Kai brought up the difficulties of fighting the Serpentine, which made Lloyd devise what (in his opinion) was the best plan of all time. The ninja, however, was quick to challenge his reasoning.

"Too late, he's already hypnotized you and now you're under his control." Cole said with a smug look on his face.

"Or he's already put you in a squeeze." Zane followed with a nod.

"Or spit on you with his hallucinatory venom. Trust me, bad stuff." Kai said with a shudder as (Y/n) giggled in amusement which made Kai blush in embarrassment at the memories of how he behaved whilst under its influence.

"Or he's bitten you, and turned you into a snake!" (Y/n) said dramatically as she tickled Lloyd, making him laugh.

"Hey, you weren't even there when that happened!" Jay said as he pointed his finger at her accusingly which made (Y/n) grin smugly.

"Party pooper. I read it in my books, and with what we've all experienced so far, it's only fair to think that the other one is true too."

"Uncle, what's the best way to stun a Serpentine if you don't know what kind they are?" Lloyd asked Wu curiously but was only met with a sigh and a resigned shake of his head.

"Sadly, it was the Sacred Flute you four carelessly lost." Wu said, making Jay's head snap in his direction.

"Hey, no, no, no, we didn't lose it. Pythor stole it." Jay clarified, but it did little to soothe Wu's agitation as he shook his head again before facing everyone in the room.

"Whatever the case, without it I fear we have nothing to combat their powers. We may have prevented them from uniting in the past, but they will try again, and one day they will be stronger."

"Don't worry. I've almost reached my Full Potential, and when I become the Green Ninja, we're not gonna need any magic flute." Cole said confidently as (Y/n) raised an eyebrow at him before sighing as she felt the rest of the ninjas get riled up.

"You're gonna be the Green Ninja? Hahaha, don't make me laugh." Kai laughed sarcastically.

"I thought it was decided that I was destined to become the Green Ninja." Zane said innocently with a slightly hurt tone.

"Oh! The only thing decided about you, Zane, is that you're weird." Jay said, which ignited a full-on argument between the members of the group. Lloyd and (Y/n) shared a look, before turning to Sensei, now noticing a box that wasn't there before.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's in the box?" Lloyd asked curiously.

"Your new uniforms." Everyone perked up at that as the four ninjas raced to collect their uniforms from Wu. As the four geeked out about their new uniform, (Y/n) noticed a fifth outfit hiding at the bottom.

"Who's that one for? Is it for Nya?" She asked to which Wu shook his head.

"No, this is for you. As you are now part of the team, it would be wrong to leave you without a proper uniform to work and train in."

"Wait, train?!" (Y/n) yelped in surprise which made Wu smile slightly.

"There is something that shines within you, outside of your strength which already exceeds that of my students. To harness your abilities, I have decided to take you on as my student, though not in the ways of the ninja. Your path is to be forged elsewhere." He said cryptically before handing her the outfit. She stared at the package for a moment before nodding with a nervous smile.
