I scrolled through my phone looking at videos I had saved. One was of a Siberian Husky that would roam around our neighborhood.

She'd always come around the old house where Luz and I entered the Boiling Isles, which reminded me that Luz was currently with her friends.

Speaking of friends, I haven't seen Alister or Issac since I first visited Hexside. I went downstairs and looked outside seeing Eda and Judah sitting on the front step.

"I'm trying to protect her. Hexside chews up anything unique and spits out bland mush." Eda said. "Talking about Luz?" I asked.

"Mhm." Judah nodded. "Sure, you're doing a good job with Ember but Luz is just so stubborn!" Eda ranted.

"I chew insects. I turn them into mush." Hooty said. "But that's my beef. Does she need to draw her own conclusions?" Eda continued.

"I was homeschooled for a good while on Earth, it's seems fun like 'yay I don't have to go out to learn!' But it's also very constricting and lonely. At least in my opinion." I said.

Judah looked at me sadly while thinking. "My beef is insects! They're what I eat!" Hooty continued. "You're just gonna be unhelpful Huh?" Eda smirked.

"All I know is, you taught me, and I turned out just fine!" Hooty said and then tried to use his tongue to eat the bug right next to him.

Eda and Judah both deadpanned. "We gotta get you girls into school."

"Ugh. I had this nightmare before."

We entered the school where I saw a student picking on another by taking his lunch bag from him. "He laughed before the bully was taken away by this weird monster.

It sniffed him. "Trouble?" It said and dragged him away. "Yeesh." I said and followed Judah to the principal's office.

Eda took a pencil from the mug that was alive and balanced it on her lip. "Been quite a while since we sat here, huh?" Judah smirked.

Eda put her feet up on the desk, moving Principal Bump's plaque. "Gotta admit, it's extra weird without you yelling at us for picking fights, or stealing." Eda said.

I waved idly at the principal to which he lightly smiled. "I can easily change that." Bump said going back to his serious expression.

He drew a circle getting Eda's feet off the desk and moving back his plaque. "What are you doing here, Edalyn? Judah?"

Eda got back up and straightened her hair. "We want to-" she blew her hair back into place. "We want to enroll our humans Luz and Ember into Hexside." They said.
