Echoes Of The Past

A young Eda and Judah ran through a tropical forest during a boiling rainstorm. The made it to some old ruins and went in before taking off their hoods.

Eda's hair was short and was still orange with two long grey streaks. Judah's hair was starting to grey from his normally bright white hair.

The looked at their cloaks which were now covered in holes and sighed before walking forward cautiously.

A figure wooshed behind them. "Who's there?!" Judah called. "Reveal yourself!" Eda said. They gasped as a figure approached them from the darkness.

I walked down the path to the house after my shift at the library. "Books from the library as promised." I called opening the door.

I placed them next to Luz before face planting onto the couch. "Oh, Ember you've returned! How was work today?" Lilith asked me.

"Tired." I said. "I'm a sleepy little wolf..." I said curling up. "Oh dear you must've overworked yourself." She said before petting my head and going back to figuring out her new glyph.

"What don't you ask Lilith for help? She was in the Emperor's Coven. She has more experience with unruly mobs than anybody." Luz said and I turned my head to look up.

Lilith was now trying to get the circle on her paper perfect before looking up. "Ehehehe watching the ink dry is the best part." She said.

'How did she go from concerned to concerning?' I thought and snorted. 'That's a funny phrase.' Hooty came by a put a cup of tea on the table and grabbing a blanket off the top of the couch and placing it on me.

"A fresh cup of tea for my favorite cup of tea, and a warm blanket for our hard working librarian! That's you Lulu, Emberina." He said. "Thank you, Hootybird." I mumbled.

"Oh Hootsifer you truly are a gem. How do you always know what to do?" Lilith said patting his head.

"What's going on? Is Hooty blackmailing them?" King whispered to Luz. "Oh I think they're actually friends isn't that nice?" She replied.

"K, this will work for sure!" Luz said holding up a new glyph combination. "Now you see me." She placed it on her and she disappeared before reappearing.

"Now you don't! Oh, I guess it only lasts as long as I hold my breath. Still pretty cool, huh?" She said. King clutched onto her leg.
