You immediately blushed, and you just knew your face was already a deep red color. Your mouth hung slightly open and you knew you looked stupid. Dark turned around from the stove to grab the spatula from the counter, and that's when everything that you were feeling came full force.

His upper body was so amazingly built, you couldn't take it. If it was even possible for you to do so without passing out, you could go over to where he was and trace the prominent outlines of the muscles in his chest quite easily compared to other men. That's how muscular he really was. Before you could further explain how attractive he was in your mind, he turned and saw you, then raised one of his eyebrows.

"What? Didn't think a demon could cook? Well think again, (Y/N)." he said cockily, turning back around and mushing up the eggs with the spatula to make them scrambled.

What made matters worse other than his cocky attitude was the fact that his voice was really raspy when he spoke. Like, deeper and raspier than usual, because he had just woken up.

You knew you were basically done for already, but you weren't going to take any chances so you didn't respond to him. You couldn't respond back to him even if you wanted to, you were so choked up over his beauty. The only thing you could do was stare at his shirtless upper body, then back up at his face. He was confused, but then quickly understood why you were unable to do anything.

"What're yo- oh." he was smirking as he took a glance at his bare chest before looking back up at you.

He chuckled darkly, "I'm so terribly sorry, (Y/N), I must have forgotten to put on a shirt before I came out here. Allow me to go fix the problem. The eggs are already done anyway."

He was playing with you and you absolutely hated him for it. But, he was strikingly beautiful, and you couldn't let him just walk off and cover what you could take so much more time to admire! So, you finally decided to open up your mouth for the first time since you came downstairs.

"No! I-I mean- uh, don't. S-Stay, Dark." you stuttered, but you got it out. But you sounded incredibly stupid.

You buried your red face in your hands, humiliated. You were blushing so hard, it wasn't even funny.

You heard him chuckle deeply again, and could hear his footsteps getting closer to you. You peeked through your hands and saw his perfectly sculpted face just inches away from yours. You gulped as you slowly moved your hands away from your face, allowing you to capture the perfect view of his upper body considering he was taller than you.

He was smirking at you once again as he ran his hand through his bed hair. You watched his bicep flex as he did so, and you could feel your knees getting weaker and weaker by the second. You were biting your lip so hard, you could taste blood.

"Jesus..." you mumbled as you immediately ducked your head to hide your face from his view. You needed to think of some way to make him stop before he did anything else to make you emotionally unstable.

"Dark," you sighed, lifting your head to look him straight in the eye. "You've got a fucking job to do. Why are you dicking around making breakfast?"

Shit. Was that too harsh?

His smirk vanished, and you knew you had fucked up. "I, uhm- I don't believe I'll be doing any murdering any time soon." he answered truthfully. You were a bit shocked. All this personality changing for nothing?

"So... you're not going to kill anyone?" you asked, sounding a bit relieved. It's probably because he would finally be completely safe and not harming anyone or himself for once if he didn't kill anyone.

"No, I will not. I was thinking about it last night. Do I really want take someone's life away from them? Maybe that's the exact reason why I didn't start yet. I was afraid, and if I am being completely and utterly honest with you, I do not wish to hurt anyone." he told you quietly.

You were really shocked now. You thought he was supposed to be the big, badass demon who killed who he wanted and scared anyone that laid eyes on him. Now the 'bad guy' was confessing that he didn't want to kill anyone. At least, now that you're there. Maybe you're the reason why he didn't want to, along with just not wanting to hurt anyone. Maybe.

You were a bit happy. He was still scary to you, though. He could still do bad stuff. But, he didn't choose to do it now. And you were truly thankful for him making that decision.

"Well, I'm glad you're not fully following your father's footsteps." you confessed. He looked at you, a little confused, but smiled nonetheless.

"Not fully? Does that mean I'm still taking in some of his traits?" he questioned, quirking an eyebrow as he crossed him arms over that very built chest of his.

"Yes," you laughed. "You can't have an evil father and not have some of that venom in you at all."

"Well, I can't argue with you on that." he agreed.

You were actually having a normal conversation with him ever since you got here. It felt... nice. You were surprised that you were even able to have that conversation considering he still didn't have a shirt on.

You definitely weren't completely comfortable around him yet. Only about thirty to thirty-five percent if you were being specific, and that wasn't that much.

You looked down at the ground, obviously not comfortable with the awkward silence that came after your normal little chat. Suddenly Dark's fingers were under you chin and he was lifting your head back up. He looked you dead in the eyes, and you knew that thirty-some percent had temporarily just gone down the drain.

"If you want me to go put a shirt on, I will." he said sincerely, giving you a meaningful look. You swallowed the lump in your throat and spoke up.

"A-Actually, well- I uh, I-I don't mind." you admitted quietly, trying not to get lost in his space-filled eyes. They were hypnotizing, and that just made it so much harder.

He smiled a real, genuine smile. You could've sworn his cheeks turned a light pink as well, but maybe you were imagining. But after you had fully focused on his beautiful face in front of yours, you noticed that he was indeed blushing. You'd never seen him do it before and you thought it was adorable.

Wait!

This was your first day staying with Dark and you had already thought the little things he did were adorable?! You didn't know how you were falling for him so quickly, so easily.

He had been looking at the floor but his two fingers still remained under your chin, holding up your head so you couldn't look down. So, you kept your gaze on his now burnt red face. He had noticed you were staring at him. His red, flushed cheeks were really standing out considering everything about him was black and his skin was so pale.

He finally looked back up at you and inched closer, still holding up your head. Dear God, how could you already be having episodes like this when you only knew each other for a few days or so?
