Mark walked out into the living room and looked from you to Dark. He had a worried expression showing on his face. He studied Dark closely, then switched his gaze back over at you, but only for a second.

"What happened? I heard some yelling." he asked while eyeing Dark wearily. Luckily, it seemed as though he didn't see his arm.

"Oh, uh- nothing," you say, trying to push away the topic. "Is everything in the kitchen cleaned up?"

You dumped the glass shards in a trash can up against the wall while you waited for an answer.

"Yeah. It looks much better than it did before. Not exactly how I had it before Dark came along, but it's better." he told you while looking over at Dark.

Dark bent his head down and looked at the ground. How could he go from acting like he was in full control to acting like he was too shy to be in control? In your point of view, it was very unusual.

"Oh. Well at least we can use it again. Is it alright if I try to find something to cook?" you ask as you lean the broom up against the wall next to the trash can.

Mark nodded his head, "Yeah, that's fine, but I'm not that hungry. Surprisingly, he let me eat while he held me hostage in my own home." he motioned to Dark, a disappointed look on his face. The demon didn't look up at you guys. You sighed and told Mark that you were going to cook. Mark said that he was going out considering he hasn't left the apartment for basically a week now.

You watched him leave, then you set off for the kitchen. You searched through the fridge but everything was expired or had already went bad. You then went to the pantry and found macaroni and cheese. It wasn't the best, but it was something.

You found a small pot, filled it with water, and put it on the stove to let it heat up. Just then, Dark decided to join you in the kitchen.

"You don't have to make that. I mean, I could make it." you turned to him and gave him a small smile.

"It's fine, Dark. You just sit, I'll do it." you told him, gesturing for him to take a seat at the table. Only two of the chairs hadn't been broken, it was perfect for the two of you to sit and eat. He sighed in defeat as he pulled one out and sat down in it.

You poured in the macaroni noodles into the pot filled with boiling water and waited for them to cook. Once they were finished, you stirred in the cheese.

You got down two bowls from a cabinet and put a few spoonfuls of Mac & Cheese into each bowl. You went over to the table then, setting one bowl in front of Dark as you took a seat with your own bowl. Dark looked down at the food and looked back up at you with a hint of disgust in his expression.

"I-I'm not hungry." he said shakily as he pushed the bowl away from himself.

"What? Do you not like macaroni and cheese?" you asked in disbelief as you put a spoonful in your mouth.

"No it's just- uh, I've gotten so used to not eating... for a long time. I didn't really need to." he mumbled. You looked up at him, your eyes wide.

"Why not? When's the last time you ate?" you asked, concern laced within your voice.

"Well, if you want to know truthfully, I c-can't remember. But listen, I don't-" he began to admit, scratching the back of his neck, but you cut him off.

"Dark, how can you forget the last time you've eaten?! Hasn't your stomach been growling? How can you ignore that?" you bombarded him with questions, his health seeming very important to you at the moment.

You were too worried about him right now. But why were you so concerned about a guy who made your best friend kill people for him?

"Please, just- listen. I don't think you understand. I've remained in my original state ever since I came up here until today, when I turned into the human state I'm in now. The hunger is just now pulling at me. I haven't eaten in such a long time because I'm a demon. A demon doesn't need to eat human food." he explained to you, his eyebrows furrowing. Currently, he seemed very vulnerable than he had before. You looked at him with sad eyes.

"Dark, please eat. I know you're not used to eating and whatever, but now that you're basically a human, you need food. Eat the Mac & Cheese." you pleaded, moving the bowl back in his direction.

"Y'know, I've been dead before. Technically, I'm still dead. I could just skip meals, I don't need the food... do I?" you watched him question himself with worried eyes. Dark was starting to act a lot different in a short amount of time. He was acting bipolar, in your opinion. Can an evil entity really have a mental illness?

"Dark, what's bothering you? At first I was scared of you but now it's like you're scared of me." you ask him, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing." he snapped. You jumped, not expecting such an immediate and rude answer.

He was trying not to look at you. You grabbed his hand and he darted his eyes over to your hands touching. He took a chance and looked you straight in the eye, then. And that's when he broke down.
