here's a small something to say thank you for 200k reads and happy 3 years to parasocial <3
________
You knew what you needed to do back then. At the same time, you just didn't know if you could muster the strength to do it.
Life was weird like that. You knew what you needed to do, but could you was an entirely separate issue. One you never could get the answer to until it was too late, or right on time.
You chugged down the rest of the drink and with a heavy breath you tossed it harshly to the side. Off you went, right back the way you came.
Right back to that house. You could hear noise from inside already. Loud ones. Ones that made you smile like mad.
Of course Jianyu and Amon were arguing. That much was familiar.
You opened the door to reveal the whole sight and, of course again, Damshi and Ace were doing their best to keep them in line.
"Please, calm down Jianyu—" Damshi was quick to be cut off. Jianyu's elbow went straight into her jaw as Damshi's weak attempts at holding the small girl back faltered.
"Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up! It's his fault! It has to be Amon's fault she's missing!" Jianyu cried.
"Bullshit! If she ran away, that's your fault, you prissy bitch!" Amon pointed an accusing finger at Jianyu and Ace slapped it down. "You wanna go, too, pretty boy?" Amon hissed, glaring down at the other male.
"Guys," Dal called from the couch. His eyes trained on yours.
"I don't, but you're acting like a fool!" Ace continued anyways, snarling at Amon.
"Yeah!" Jianyu piped up. "You're a fucking idiot, Amon!"
"Now we both know that's not what he meant," Damshi sighed in exasperation.
"Yeah, like I'd ever agree with you," Ace waved a hand at Jianyu dismissively. "Just shut up while I try and keep Amon from beating you black and blue. Don't want to go back to the hospital you're sooo familiar with, do we now?"
"Guys..." Dal tried again, weaker.
The sight was baffling. You couldn't believe your eyes. From the looks of it, this petty arguing wasn't... New. Dal had put his face in the palm of his hand, squeezing his eyes shut.
"What is it—oh."
Damshi was the second to notice you. She froze now. That was enough for Ace to catch on. Then Amon, and finally Jianyu.
"Heart!" Jianyu cried out and immediately made a break for you.
"Oh no you don't!" In a fell swoop, Amon grabbed Jianyu and held her in the air like one would a bad cat.
"Let me go! Let me go, let me go, let me go!" Jianyu's shrill cries filled the air.
"(Y/n)." Damshi and Ace were to your side in an instant. Damshi's eyes filled with worry while Ace's filled with shame.
"Sorry," he apologized quickly.
"Where were you?" She near demanded.
"I, uh..." You paused. "... You weren't... Fighting because of me, were you?"
"Oh you dumbass," Amon grunted as he held Jianyu back easily. His eye twitching from your stupidity.
"Of course they were," Dal said, exhausted and in utter disbelief.
"Oh..." You breathed. "... Guys."
All of them froze at that. And it was almost funny.
"I have a decision."

"Oh my gosh, hi chat!" You gasped as you started your stream. Your arms stretched out in front of you and a cheeky grin on your lips. "Do I have news for you...!"
What a great stream it was, to recount so happily all that had happened at your fifth meet and greet—to celebrate five years streaming, you'd set up the latest meet and greet at your newly local cafe. To laugh at yourself for all the panic you'd endured, all the mental strife you'd been put under. And for what?
For all to end up good.
It always seemed to—no matter how rough it got.
"(Y/n)!" Called a familiar voice from the other room.
A voice that sent shivers down your spine. "Oh, would you look at that." You looked over your shoulder and smiled brightly seeing Jianyu.
She ran in and hugged you, followed up by a grumbling Amon. "Get off of her, she's streaming, dumbass," Amon grunted.
"Leave her be," Dal called as he passed by.
"Please!" Damshi added as she trailed behind Dal.
"Oh, that's right," you gasped and looked at the camera. "Did I ever tell you all I was moving in with everybody?"
"Well, duh," Amon grunted and patted your head.
"We are dating, after all!" Jianyu said happily.
"What was that?" Ace chimed in as he entered the room.
"You stalker, I knew you were there," you laughed at him easily. Ace shrugged.
"Well, you should know that well... It's nearly our fifth anniversary all together, now isn't it?"

i hope this reads as the love letter it's supposed to be to parasocial <3 this book will always hold a special place in my heart as my first fully complete yandere fic.
and it's a love letter to everybody who's read it. especially those of you who so adamantly wanted a polyamorous ending <3
while i don't think things will ever be 'easy' with them all together romantically, i do think it likely would've been the happiest ending — and it's one i've been meaning to write out for awhile now.
thank you, again, for reading parasocial! <3
