No! "Leave us alone!" Kate screams at him. Kate runs at him,and knocks the knife out of his hand. Good job Kate! "Hey! You pick that up right away!"the man yells. She better not, but I know she won't. "No! I have a better idea. Why don't you leave while you still know what's good for you!" Kate yells back at him, stepping closer to him.
Honestly, I don't have a clue what's going to happen. "I'd watch it if I were you girl, you don't have an idea what's coming your way." the man says through gritted teeth. Oh no, this is going to be bad. "Fine." Kate responds, her teeth also gritted. She walks over and picks up the knife, and chucks it into a cave. "No go and get it!" she yells at him.
The man walks closer to her, his eyes cold. He slaps Kate across the cheek, and walks into the cave. As he enters the cave, we hear a few howls and the man's scream. I guess he didn't know what was coming to him. Kate walks over to me, and pulls me into a hug. "Thank-you" I whisper.
"It's the least I could do, after what he did to your father." she whispers back. I start to cry silently. Kate hugs me tighter. I then feel a light tap on my shoulder. Kate releases me, and I turn around to see Jamie. "If it's an consolation, he was my father too. And I also just found out I have a twin sister. But I've always lived here, and he never told me. We are in a very similar situations." she tells me.
Oh right, I forgot I have a sister. This is all so new to me. "Oh ya, sorry. How are doing after all this?" I ask her. I feel terrible for her. She is the only other one who knows what this is like. "Honestly, not great. But we have to move on. There is a war out there."Jamie says. I can now see many differences between us.
For one, her hair is a darker shade of brown than mine, it's pretty dark. And my eyes aren't brown they're blue. And she doesn't have freckles either. Another thing too, she's like 2 inches taller than me. But you definitely tell we're related. We still do look a lot alike. "I'm sorry, I feel the same way. But at least Kate got rid of that terrible, terrible man back there.", I say, turning to Kate "Thank-you again." Jamie looks at Kate as well. "Yes, thank-you." she says as well.
"I'm glad I got to help. I just feel so bad for you guys." Kate responds, and you can hear the sadness in her voice. She really does have sympathy for us. "Guys, I don't want to ruin your moment here, but we should really run!" Zoe says, her voice urgent.
