It takes me a minute to realize what Zoe just said, and then I turn around. There are at least 30 wolves charging us! I grab Jamie's hand, and pull her as I run. Zoe's grabbed Kate's hand and they run right beside us.
"Casey, we have to get out of this!" Jamie screams to me. Her voice is shaky, her face pale. I can tell she is scared, and I just want to hug her. I just want to hide.
We keep running, and eventually my feet start to hurt. I haven't risked glancing behind me yet, so I do it now. When I turn my head, I don't see any wolves. The others noticed I stopped, and they turn around too. "Where, uh where did everybody go?" Jamie asks. We all look around us, and don't see anybody. Where did all the wolves go?
"Guys, we have another problem. Zoe's gone!" Kate urgently tells us. No no no no no! Kate's right, she is gone.
Wait, no she isn't. I collapse next to Chloe's dead body and weep. I look up, and I can see the wolves running away, the wolves that killed Zoe. I guess they weren't really gone after all, and Zoe had to pay for that mistake.
Without even knowing what I'm doing, I get up and start to chase them. This time it takes me only a second to transform, and I'm running faster than ever. I can almost snip at one of their tales. I speed up, but so do they. I try to yell at them, but I'm running too fast, words won't come out.
I take the chance and glance behind me. I've run so far and so fast that I can barely see the others. I turn my head and see that the wolves have stopped In fact, they've come closer. So close, our faces almost touch and I can feel their breath.
