As I lay here, on the ground, held down by my uncle's foot, I think to myself "Why me?" Mandy lies next to me, and I can hear her muffled screams. "Let us go now!" I scream with all my might towards my uncle.
He sighs, probably not warming up to me very quickly. Um, hello! He's the one that dragged us to this place. He's definetely not my favorite uncle, even if he's the only one I have. He releases us, and Mandy thrusts herself onto me. Ya, she's scared. "You two are lucky. Talking to me like that, who do you think you are?" my uncle blurts at me. "Who do I think I am? Excuse me, but who do you think you are!
Treating your niece like that?" I scream at him. I can tell that the fact
he's related to me crosses his mind. "Okay, I'm sorry. Just new to this whole having a kid around thing."
Wow, that actually worked! Who new werewolves had soft spots? "Thanks. You're forgiven. So, do I like live with you guys now?" Honestly, I wouldn't mind all that much.
"Casy! You can't be serious? What about your bunkmates? Me? Your entire life?" Mandy blurts. See Jason, she can talk for herself! Honestly, Mandy's the only thing I'll miss. My uncle,Jason, replies to that with a comforting, yet stern "Mandy, she'd one of us now. Tomorrow she'll be a wolf. A cute, kind of wold pup, but still.
She won't be safe." Huh, I'm going to transform tomorrow. Wow. That just started to sink in. "Then I'm staying here with you!" Mandy suddenly blurts. I thrust myself onto Mandy. She stumbles back from the sudden hug. "Thank you, thank you so much Mandy." I lean in so we are now face to face "Are you sure." She nods, and we unclasp our hands.
"Okay then, two new people. I was not prepared for this. It's okay, it's okay. my uncle says. Then a thought crosses my mind: what do I call my uncle? So, I ask. "Um, what should I call you?" I ask.
I can see he's thinking about it. Afterall, you only get to choose once. "Call me Uncle J. Ya, I like the sound of that." he replies after his train of thought. "Okay, Uncle Jase." I say through a smile.
Suddenly, a whimper erupts from one of the wolves. Then I hear another whimper, this time almost like a piercing screech. Now whimpers erupt from all of the wolves. I just notice that there are quite a few werewolves around me. I'd say about 20 of them. "Don't be frightened, they're transforming." My uncle reassures us.
"Does it hurt?" I ask timidly. He smirks, as if that's amusing. Hey, I'm new here. "No, not at all. That's just a habit of theirs." Phew. Because, if I had to do that all of the time, count me out. But it's okay, it doesn't hurt. I'll be fine. I look up, at the rest of the "pack" are all now humans. Wearing the same exact outfict as Uncle J. But the girls' outfits are slightly different. Plus, they're not hairy. I dont't know why. They all have hair about 3 inches below the shoulder, or a little bit longer. Not much, really. And they wore tank tops, and jeans. Dark jeans.
