I hold the note in my hand, and I'm afraid to open it. My name is scrawled across the front.
Hands shaking, I open it. It's from my uncle. Well at least no one's going to kill me. That's honestly what I expected. The note tells me how to transform. Phew. It says all I have to do is will myself to transform.
I put the note in my pant pocket. I try to will myself to transform, but nothing happens. I try again. Nothing.
Finally, a twinge of pain goes down my back. Not that bad, and I force myself not to yelp. The hunters could be, I've now realized.
It seems like I'm transformed in a flash. I lose my balance, bacause wolves rarely stand on two legs. Hit the ground in a flash. I try to ragain my balance, on all four legs.
After a few trys, I'm trotting. I can't run, but boy can I trot. I can really strut my stuff. Ha.
After a few minutes, I find a lake. I can see my reflection now. Boy am I adorable. But definetly not intemidating, and that's what I really need right now. Again, the Hunters could be anywhere.
In the distance I hear an unfamilliar yelp. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a wolf running towards me. Now there's two. Three. They are definetly part of the "pack". It's the hunters, they've found me!
