Chapter 14 Andy’s POV:

When Willow speaks she’s ghostly pale. I know instantly something’s wrong.

“My Mum wants me home in two hours.”

I swear my heart stops for a second. This is a shock. Then realisation sets in and I start to worry.

“But…It took us three hours to get here from where you live.” I say slowly. She nods sadly. She falls back onto the sofa and her head falls into her hands. I instantly go to her side.

“If I don’t get home she’s going to kill me. She’ll call the police and everything. I can’t believe she’s being this unreasonable.” Willow says and her voice is muffled by her hands. I pull her to me and her hands come away from her face. Her head fits into my shoulder and I hear her sigh.

“We’ll think of something.” I say and even I can hear the doubt in my voice. I can’t think of a way to get back in time. Our driver isn’t due back until twelve and there’s no way he will come back early.

“Take the train.” Ashley says. The sound of his voice startles me. I completely forgot he was in the room. I look up at him and I see Willow do the same.

“What?” I ask him.

“The train is the quickest way to get home. Isn’t London known for its train network?” Ashley says shrugging. “We can meet you back at Willow’s when our driver gets back.”

I look down at Willow and she nods, her eyes looking hopeful. I stand up. “I’ll get dressed and we’ll get going.”

Willow nods and I leave the room. As I do so I almost bump into Jinxx. I just move past him, not having any time to waste.

“Whoa Andy what’s the rush?” Jinxx says looking startled. I look over at him and see he looks terrible. He’s obviously suffering from last nights drinks.

“Ask Ashley, he’ll explain.” I say and carry on my way. I get to my suitcase and I pull out the first shirt I see. I pull it over my head and grab my wallet from my bunk. I hurry back to Willow and see her ready to go. Ashley and Jinxx are conversing in the corner.

“Let’s go.” I say to Willow and offer her my hand. She takes it with an apprehensive smile. I turn back to Ashley and Jinxx. “I’ll see you in a few hours.”

Ashley and Jinxx nod and me and Willow leave the bus. We’re instantly greeted by a blast of cold air and I feel Willow shiver next to me.

“Do you have any idea where the station is?” She asks looking up at me. I look back at her.

“Nope.” I reply. I start walking, having no idea where the hell I’m going.

***

After about forty five minutes of asking people for directions and taking lots of wrong turns, Willow and I are finally on the train back to her house. We find two seats side by side and collapse into them, both of us breathing heavily. We ran the whole way from the bus.

I hear Willow sigh and I look over at her. She turns her face my way and I see such appreciation and thanks that my heart fumbles for a second.

“Thank you for sticking with me and not leaving me to find my own way home. Most guys would run away from a girl who has an angry mother demanding her daughter home. I’m so sorry for this.” Willow says apologetically. I shake my head. It’s my fault she’s in this mess in the first place.
