A/N: I have an apology to make to BethanyInCandyland. As I was reading your story (Four Years Later which is awesome and everyone should check it out!) I realised we used the same surname for our characters, Hart. I read your story a few days after writing this chapter and I didn't really want to change the surname because it fits so well, so I apologise fo this. :( I promise it wasn't intentional and if I had read your story earlier I would not have used the name.

To my other readers thank you for the reads! As always please comment your thoughts on how the story is progressing and notify me of mistakes you have come across. Thanks! Ciara x

Chapter 30 Willow’s POV:

When we get back to Andy’s house after picking Zack up from CC’s we sit and watch TV for a while. Andy manages to find an old Batman for us to watch which makes me smile. Zack, Andy and I all curl up together on one of Andy’s black leather sofas and watch it.

My phone rings half way through and I pull it out of my pocket to answer it. I frown when I don’t recognise the number but I answer it anyway.

“Hello?” I say hesitantly. A formal, female voice replies.

“Is this Willow Hart?” It asks.

“Yes, yes it is.” I say, bewildered. Who is it at the other end of the phone?

“We’re phoning about your Mother, Sophia Hart. She’s been hit by a car and taken to hospital…” I freeze in shock. The rest of the doctor’s sentence fades away. Andy’s eyes look away from the TV and meet mine. His eyes go from care free and happy to deeply concerned at my expression. The words the doctor is saying force me to focus on the phone again. “Her condition is critical. We aren’t sure whether she will make it through the night.”

The phone falls from my hands. I feel like screaming. No, no, no! This can’t be happening to me. First my Dad and now my Mum. Andy’s hand reaches out and catches the phone before it crashes to the floor. I barely notice.

The world spins and I feel myself falling. An arm catches me before I fall but my mind is too full of thoughts to notice whose arms are holding me.

“Willow what is it? Is something wrong?” A frantic voice asks. Zack’s.

I try to answer wanting to tell him that no everything is falling apart, but nothing comes out. I’m in shock. I try again and the only sound that emerges is a choked whine.

The world stops its spinning slightly and I see Andy on my phone, pacing the room, his expression pained. Zack still clutches me desperately, his eyes concerned.

“Willow answer me please! Who is it on the phone?” He asks frantically.

Zack needs to know but when I need it most my voice fails me. Luckily just at that moment Andy ends the call. His expression is serious and his eyes are full of sadness. He crouches in front of the sofa where me and Zack sit.

“Zack, it’s your Mum. She was hit by a car last night on her way home from work. She broke a number of ribs and punctured a lung. She also sustained some damage to her head and is in a coma. The doctor at the hospital she is in said they aren’t sure whether or not she’s going to make it and if she does what damage would have been done.” Andy says, looking from both me and Zack worriedly. I feel Zack collapse into the sofa next to me in shock. Hearing the damage that has been done to my Mum makes a fresh wave of panic envelope me. This can’t be happening, not now, not ever.

Warm hands takes hold of my freezing cold ones. I look up slightly and see Andy’s bright blue eyes looking into mine sadly.

“I’m so sorry Willow.” He whispers quietly. I collapse in his arms wanting him to take away all the pain inside.
