Chapter 23 Willow’s pov:

After a few hours of waiting on an uncomfortable airport chair, we are finally on the flight to Los Angeles. I sit in between Andy and Zack, with one hand in Andy’s. I lean against him smiling. Zack has his headphones in and I peak over to see what he’s listening to. He hides it before I can see. His cheeks grow red.

I pluck out one of his earphones. “What are you listening to?” I ask teasingly, a happy smile on my face.

“Nothing.” Zack says sheepishly. I laugh.

“Come on Zack! Just tell me.” I say and I nudge him lightly with my elbow. With a sigh he tilts the screen so I can see. I smile when I see the album cover.

“That’s one of the best albums ever made.” I say smiling my head off. Andy leans over me so he can see and he lets out a small laugh.

“One of the best along with all the albums we’ve made.” He says smiling at me. I laugh.

“We Stitch These Wounds is a masterpiece.” I say smiling up at Andy.

“It got us noticed.” Andy replies with a shrug.

“Carolyn is just… perfect.” I say quietly and Andy and I share a look. That look communicates so much and I can see Andy’s remembering the moments we have shared during that song. Carolyn bought us together in a way.

“You aren’t going to kiss again are you? Not with me right next to you.” Zack says looking slightly creeped out.

I smile and lean back against Andy. His arms go around my shoulders and I feel his lips kiss my head briefly.

“You have good taste in music Zack.” Andy says and I see Zack smile.

“Zack never be ashamed of what you like, promise me that.” I say taking Zack’s hand and squeezing it lightly. He nods and I smile.

We sit quietly for a while and Zack puts his headphones back in. I feel my eyes closing but I shake myself awake. I have all this time with Andy and I don’t want to miss a second of it.

“What are we going to do once we get to LA?” I ask Andy. I look at our clasped hands and I rub my finger softly on Andy’s hand.

“Sleep probably.” Andy says with a laugh. I laugh with him knowing the different time zones are going to confuse the hell out of my body. LA is going to take some getting used to. “I have a surprise for you.”

I look up into Andy’s eyes, curious and excited. His eyes glint with the promise of excitement and he has a secretive smile on his face. “What is it?” I ask even though it will get me nowhere, just like last time. I smile remembering.

“You know how this works. I don’t give clues.” Andy says laughing. I cross my arms and try pouting. It doesn’t work because Andy just laughs harder and I end up smiling.

“You’re cruel.” I say, with a hint of a traitorous laugh in my voice.

“Taking you to America to have the best time of your life is cruel?” Andy asks feigning hurt.

“No not that! You know that’s amazing! Hiding things from me is cruel!” I say, poking him in the chest. He catches my finger and holds it to his chest. My heart races at the simple gesture.

“I’m only hiding it from you because I think you’re going to love it. It won’t be as good or funny if I told you what it was.” Andy says, slightly more seriously.
