Neteyam and the reader are 19, Lo'ak and Kiri are 18, and the rest of the characters are all aged up by 4 years. So instead of a 15-year time skip it is a 19-year time skip.
The reader will be female, but if you want to imagine it differently be my guest.
I am also just going off what I remember from the movie so nothing will be completely accurate. Along with me trying to be accurate, this WILL contain spoilers for Avatar Way of Water.
