All We Have Is Time

You woke up the next day landing on the floor, unlike the last time when you landed on the floor, the rock-hard surface of a floating mountain you had a soft landing of the fabric that was suspended throughout the entire village. "Ow." You heard snickering next to you and you instantly knew it was Tuk. You turned to face the girl still upside down and half in your hammock. "Good morning Tuk." She giggled as she crept closer, you hadn't noticed before but there was also Neytiri looking at you with concern. You moved off the floor as soon as you took notice of her. "Uh, Oel ngati kameie Neytiri." Instead of greeting Neytiri how humans do you learn that Na'vi greet each other differently, it took you a while to start to say it at first but Neytiri seemed happy when you would address her that way. "Oel ngati kameie (Y/N)." You gave an awkward smile, she was kind and sweet to you and sometimes you saw her like a mother figure but you still kept your distance due to not wanting to make things weird. Most of the time it was you who turned the conversation in an awkward direction. "Did you sleep well?" She was by the fire cooking breakfast, you pulled back some hair in front of your face and tucked it behind your ear. "Yes, it was very nice..." You gave a quick glance around, there were only two other people still in the Marui and that was Mr. Sully and Kiri. "That was until I fell out of my hammock." You had no idea when you found your way back, you didn't remember waking up and walking back or Mr. and Mrs. Sully's return.

Mrs. Sully seemed to recognize your sarcastic and confused tone as she had a slight grin plastered on her face. "When we got back yesterday you girls were all asleep." Kiri started to inch away from her spot as she finished wrapping up breakfast. "We carried you back so that we wouldn't wake you and so you weren't out there all night." You wondered who carried you in for a moment when Tuk leaned her head on your shoulder. She still looked tired, it hadn't been that late yesterday when she slept. "Thank you, for caring me in. I appreciate it." Neytiri nodded her head and took the last of breakfast over the fire. There was silence in the Marui, you turned and grabbed some supplies out from a basket you started storing all of your projects in. You only turned slightly so as to not disturb Tuk's restful posture. You moved back to the position you had been in with shells that heavily resembled Puka shells. When you saw them for the first time you just gathered them for a necklace you could try making for yourself. You wanted to perfect your weaving before giving anything, you had often started wearing the necklace or sleeping with it. But now you were working on an armband, you planned on giving it to Neteyam but you didn't know if he would have any need for another armband. You still worked on the item with great care, Neteyam was outstanding at almost everything he put his mind to. You didn't want to make any mistakes.

After breakfast, you tried catching up with Kiri. It had been some time since you spent time alone with her. "Hold up!" You ran to her side as she seemed faster than normal. "I'm coming with you." Kiri gave you a smile before continuing to walk quietly. Before you used to spend most of your afternoons with Kiri but after getting your knife your days were spent with Neteyam. "Are you sure you don't want to go see what Neteyam's up to?" You raised an eyebrow at Kiri, you didn't normally spend time with her older brother unless you had knife lessons or if you were helping him watch his siblings. Kiri took notice of your expression and spoke, "Why don't you go see him? I'm sure he'll be alone due to Tuk spending time with mom and dad and Lo'ak having a one-on-one lesson with Tsireya." You didn't know you could have a one-on-one lesson, but when you really thought about it maybe it was an excuse so those two could spend more time together. "What about you? We haven't spent time together in a while." She kept her normal exterior. "I'll be perfectly fine, I was actually hoping to have some time alone today." With a small oh from you, you gave an awkward smile. "Okay, well then I'll leave you to it." You backed off from Kiri's side and let her leave you where you stood. "We'll hang out another day okay?" You nodded as she turned for a second to speak to you before spinning right back around. You honestly didn't know where Neteyam was. Most days you were either learning from the Metkayina or hanging out with Tuk. You could have gone back to the Marui and continued on the items for everyone but you preferred not having a walk of shame back. So instead you decided to try and find Tsireya and Lo'ak. Just to see what they were doing, your interest was peaked when Kiri mentioned the one-on-one lesson you wondered what they looked like.
