It wasn't long until you were all forcefully separated and parents had gotten involved. You walked with your head down as you made your way into the Marui. Turning around at the same time as Lo'ak who was to your left you saw Mr. Sully's peeved face. You held your bicep in your right hand feeling a bump forming. "What was the one thing I asked?" Hearing his aggravated tone you took in a harsh breath. You could feel the guilt of disappointment rising. "The one thing." Mr. Sully was looking straight at you and Lo'ak, you could feel your stomach drop when he started into you. "Stay out of trouble" Lo'ak spoke in a mumble as your face contorted, feeling small and regretful. "Stay out of trouble. Right." Your tail felt so tangled as it wouldn't stop tensing. "It was my fault." Neteyam held up his hands and placed himself partially in between Lo'ak and their father.
You gave Neteyam a side eye he didn't see, why was he taking the blame? "I don't think so. You've gotta stop taking the heat for this knucklehead." Mr. Sully whipped his head over to Lo'ak as you dipped your head once again not wanting to make eye contact. "Look, dad, Ao'nung was picking on (Y/N) and Kiri." You didn't lift your head instead you just felt the sting of blood dripping down and into your eye. "He called them freaks." You lifted your head back up to stop the blood from dripping more as you wiped it away. Your eyes looked into Mr. Sully's as he let out a breath. His face looked more tired and uncertain. It was just a moment but you saw an understanding there, "Go apologize to Ao'nung." He was no longer looking at you and was back to Lo'ak. "What?" Your eyes looked over to Lo'ak again, seeing his ears flap back for a moment. "He is the chief's son. Do you understand?" You could see Neteyam behind him bring his hand up to his bleeding lip.
"I don't care how you do it. Just go make peace." Sounding tired now he moved to the side to let Lo'ak leave. "Just go, you too." Seeing as how you weren't moving from your spot Mr. Sully looked at you too. Quickly you moved your feet to exit the Marui. Stepping out into the sun again you were on the track to follow Lo'ak as he sped off. However, upon hearing Mr. Sully for a moment you turned around. "Hey." You moved to the side when you realized he was talking to Neteyam instead. "So what the other guys look like?" You took a look back now intrigued with a little smile. "Worse." You tilted your head in agreement with the statement. "That's good." Your smile widened seeing Neteyam's, his body outlined by the sun giving him a glow. "A lot worse." Your chest swelled at his smile, he looked beautiful at that moment. "Get outta here." He was still smiling as his head dipped down and he walked towards where you were. You made your way further from your spot so as to not let him know you stayed. "(Y/N), wait a minute." You stopped in your tracks to turn only slightly. He was still beaming from earlier and his lip was still bleeding as well. "Ya'know we should probably take care of that?" You pointed to his lip, Neteyam had come out of the fight with only a few scratches. You had a few more marks but the other guys were still worse than you. "I'll be okay, but let's go to the medical Marui for your head." He touched his lip again, it was obviously stung. You agreed readily and head off by Neteyam's side.
When he put on that dreaded ointment on your head it gave that prickling stinging sensation. You moved your face away as it settled in your skin. Neteyam pursed his lips before reaching his hand further. "It'll be over faster if you stop moving away from me." When his hand started spreading the ointment your eye squeezed shut twitching as you couldn't move away anymore. "I know, but it still sucks." He just chuckled under his breath still tending to the small wound. "I wouldn't have to keep using ointment if you would just stop getting injured." You gave him a glare as you started opening the single eye again due to the sting dying down. "I don't mean to, it just happens on accident." He raised a brow as he leaned away and backed off from you. "Really, you didn't think you would get a single scratch when you joined that fight? You should've stayed to the side with Kiri." He started to put the first ointment away and grab the second one, "And let the fight be two against four? No way, That would've been unfair." He shook his head as he moved close again smiling. "We would have still handled their skxawng asses." It was rare for Neteyam to swear but every time he did you couldn't help but chortle. As you did you looked away to the ground, Neteyam took the moment to put the ointment on your head. You knew he would, he only swore if it was needed, and distracting you was a good tactic to get the ointment on. "Last one, okay then we're done." You stayed silent letting him spread the cold liquid with his thumb. You were looking around at the floor and anything around you to the ground, not much was there as the Metkayina had most things hanging, however. "Thank you for hopping in though."
