You decided to try, keyword try, to play nice. But one slip up from them and they might just end up with a mouth full of sand. "Where are they?" Lo'ak gave Tuk a side-eye to look back at Tuk. "Chill." Tuk was getting antsy and her grip had loosened on you. "Soon, they should be just around the corner." Tsireya was patient as always. "See?" As you and Tuk followed and passed the rock blocking your view you saw them. All laughing with each other about a topic you most likely wouldn't care less about. "Great, here we go." You felt a hand support your back. "You stick with Tuk and I'll watch the other two?" It had been your strategy to watch his siblings since the first time Mr. Sully and Neytiri had gone on their date night. "Why don't I have Kiri?" She was the one you tended to switch off with the most. "I just told her what we were off doing and I don't want you to accidentally contradict me." You tilted your in agreement. "Kay, then I've got her." You gave a reassuring look as his hand slipped away from your body looking at you with confidence. "I know you do."

"Hey! Look who decided to join us!" If you could kiss him again there you would have. "What? Oh great them." And yet hearing their sarcastic tone was annoying. "Nice to see you too." Lo'ak was surprisingly trying to be nice as Tuk stuck out her tongue. "Is it too late to run?" Kiri was whispering in your ear where Neteyam had just been, you could still feel that support in your back. "I'm afraid so." You both smiled, regretting coming along. "Be nice, Vìlno." Rotxo stood up for you all by calling out the one who somewhat resembled him if you squint hard enough. "Yeah, yeah I know." Poor way of showing it by rolling your eyes. "Great, then can I sit next to you?" There was Neteyam, always the peace holder. "Sure." It was very admirable how Neteyam was always trying to make sure his siblings are taken care of. "Come on," Tuk whispered for you as she tugged you along, and even though Neteyam had Kiri to watch you dragged her along too. "Ugh, no I can still try and run!" You knew she wasn't going anywhere and you were laughing at her for thinking otherwise.

"Huh, funny we were just talking about having a race on the beach." Alarmed by how much one of Ao'nung's friends just heard Kiri. "Really?" You awkwardly looked at Kiri who seemed to be keeping her cool. "Yeah, I mean we know Ao'nung is the fastest swimmer." His friend grumbled as he spoke, probably because he swallowed Ao'nung's salt trail. "But I think he's going to eat sand on the beach." The other boys gave chuckles like there was some inside joke amongst them. "I wouldn't mind seeing that." You snickered as Kiri whispered in your ear, you knew you shouldn't have, considering Ao'nung didn't even find his friends funny. "Oh yeah, I'll take you guys on right now." A collective 'ooh' was heard, and even Lo'ak joined in. Which made Tsireya turn to him and had him thinking over his action. "You sure about that Ao'nung." Now you could see why they were a bad influence on Ao'nung. "I'll beat you in a heartbeat, and then you can go crying to Mommy." You hadn't been on good terms with him for long but you weren't going to sit and watch him get belittled. "You're on." You would've let it go if it had looked like a friendly competition but these boys were actively trying to make Ao'nung feel less than he was like he had something to prove.

"Mind if I join then?" When you stood up to enter the conversation the boy that had been getting all up in Ao'nung's face looked revolted at the idea. "Why don't you join the next one?" You were going to protest but before any words came out you found Ao'nung defending you. "What, scared of getting beat by a girl Irasi?" He looked to Ao'nung with repulsion. "Yeah, scared?" Hearing Tuk's voice backing you up made you chuckle. "Let her join, we can leave her and Ao'nung eating sand." His friend Vìlno strides into the conversation looking at you with a sly grin. You had the feeling this race might not be fair. "Okay! Fine, she's free to join us!" Good. "I'll join in too." Lo'ak came to your side giving you a quick nod and letting you know he was there for support. "Great, who else is next? The kid?" Tuk looked well beyond offended as she had her mouth a gap. "You take that back!" They didn't instead one of the buddies pulled him aside before he could say anything else. "Okay, we need a starting point and a finish line." Irasi was now looking along the beach with his friends, taking control of the situation again. "We can have the start be somewhere around the rock and the finish line can be here." You would've thought he was a genius the way Irasi was looking at him. "That's perfect! Let's go!"
