Dancing In The Rain

Going outside and into the rain was exhilarating, the rain was coming down painlessly. The first few drops feeling like sparks on your skin only propelling forward and keen to dance. The smell of newly refreshed air loaded your senses and you thought it was a comforting scent. "Come on! Come on!" Tuk pulled you faster onto the beach, the wet sand flew between your toes feeling more solid than regular. Letting your feet pick up faster you felt unrestrained by anything as Tuk turned, letting your hands hold each other and dancing around. The rain hits your body with an energizing beat, giving you the inspiration to glide along with the droplets dragging on your body and soaking you.

The air was warm as you and Tuk twirled around, not really dancing in any traditional way. But the raindrops were cold, chilling, letting your body feel as though it was in the middle of the world. You were letting the rain soak your face by looking up, smiling at the sensation. Your lungs felt the burn of air and the struggle to breathe as the rain came down frequently. Tuk let one of her hands go from yours and started roping her entire family into your baltered dancing. Conveniently the one to be by your side was Neteyam, you thought he was handsome on a normal day but his wet look was one that made the world stop. You were enraptured, watching his glistening skin take your breath away. Making it that much harder to breathe. A smile bloomed brighter on your face and his eyes stood on you, not moving.

The thunder rumbling in the distance set the whole family dancing in the circle adamantly. You stayed looking at him, his golden honey-eyed gaze. Getting stuck again in them, you wondered if you would ever escape or if you ever wanted to. But the thought of lacking those eyes was one you could not imagine and so you truly would never wish it. He was biting a bit of his bottom lip still looking back into you as you danced with his family. As you laughed, finally audibly you looked away and to the rest of the group. Seeing Neytiri first as she was across from you. She looked like she was young again, it was breathtaking to see her real head back smiling.

It was a side of her that had been put on the back burner for so long that she glowed like sunlight in the dark and damp weather. Her lightness on her feet was astounding to you, it seemed effortless to her, which made you feel like floating up in the clouds with her. Unless the clouds came down to bless her with fog first. Mr. Sully was next to her, loosening up slightly which he only seemed to be doing by looking at his stunning wife. It was obvious he used to live on earth as the root of his dancing was similar to yours and yet he was still in sync with Neytiri and Tuk. She was next to you laughing in unison with everyone. Her hand held yours in a way where she was never pulling or tugging like usual but just there knowing you would follow her no matter the reason. You felt like Tuk was someone you could always be around and enjoy her company.

She looked up at you, grinning wildly and letting her giggles fill up the space with yours. Your joyful noises mixing with each other and then with the cooling droplets piercing your skin. As Tuk moved in and out so did the others, picking up on another move to use instead of endlessly spinning in ridiculous circles. Kiri was the one tasked by being next to her mother who was adamantly dancing and Lo'ak who seemed less than thrilled to embarrass himself. Neteyam who was holding his other hand was swinging his arm trying to get him more involved with the thrilling action. You laughed more, his reluctance just made him look more foolish. When he saw you laughing at him you had to look away and let the feeling of the humid air sink into your skin balancing out the coldness of the rain.

The smell of a freshly watered Pandora was one you could love forever, you could love everything here forever. That scent intoxicated you, smelling it just wasn't enough. You need it embedded in you forever with you. You never wanted this time to end, you were having the time of your life with the people who made your life. You opened your eyes again seeing them all fluttering around. Their loose smiles gleamed in the reflection of the rain. Every drop that was graced with the opportunity to mirror their smiles could splash peacefully and land wherever forever. Seeing Kiri come forward and bounce her way into the middle still being connected to her family was what encouraged you to join her. Mr. Sully came in the center as well and you all were enjoying the time, you even heard Mr. Sully give a hearty laugh.
