Xiao's POV
You know that feeling of when you're madly in love, and you're stomach drops with butterflies whenever you just think about that certain someone? Thought it would only be a mortal thing but here i am, what is the word, SIMPING for a man i met not even a week ago. Why was he so comfortable?
"Aether, it's time for breakfast. Todays the big day! Or one of them, I guess."
"I don't wanna get up... you're too comfortable. Hehe~"
His voice, it was like music to my ears after a horrible war.
Dehya walked in, knowing we were awake and said "yo, lovebirds, its time for breakfast"
She walked out, but I couldn't move and didnt want to. It was just too comfortable here. Aether's hair was a mess too, so i braided it while we were still there. Father called out my name, and we quickly shouted back "Coming!" As both of us went to go change into our fancy outfits for the big party.
We went for breakfast, and sat down at the table. Lumine wouldn't stop staring at us.
"What?" Aether said
"Oh, nothing~" Lumine returned, with a smirk
"What happened?" Dian whispered to Lumine
"Those two were cuddling and kissing last night, never thought that would happen" Lumine whispered with cupped hands back into Dain's ear
"Oh my archons... well.. Aether achieved his goal" Dain whispered back
We ate, then me and Aether went to go get ready. I did a horrible job at braiding his hair, so he did it again and taught me how to do it. I found a crystalfly pin and put it on one of the braids. Aether said "Perfect"
"I love you"
"I love you too"
The guests began filing in, first it was the second wave of Khaenriah, then Liyue, then Mondstadt, then as the clock hit 6:00pm, the guests from Fontaine and more from Sumeru walked in.
Tignari and Cyno were both together and walked in with stunning outfits, then in walked Alhaitham.
A couple others came in, and we were ready to start the party. Music was playing, drinks were flowing, and Father and Ningguang kissed probably 250 times.
It was so lively. Then, dance music slowly began to take over, we danced for a while, and then it turned romantic.
Lumine suddenly ran to the door when Ganyu walked in, they began chattering about a lot of things, and then went off to her room...
Aether's POV
His eyes, his hands, and his hair, they were captivating. The music turned romantic and we both just looked into each others eyes, my hands on his shoulders, his hands on my waist, we danced. We didnt care what others thought, we just stared into each others eyes.
Everyone files out around 2am. We're both tired, so we go back to our room when Lumi stops us, trailing behind her is Dain, both with huge grinning expressions, followed us into the room
"Sooo" started Lumine
"Obviously you two are together just spit it out" said Dain
"We are not!" Xiao said, with his cheeks still red, they were probably red for hours on end.
My face went red
"So the results of the election came in" Dain explained, "And Kaeya won!"
"W-Wait so... does this mean..." I said
"Yes, we were moving to Fontaine but clearly you want to stay here. Our stuff is getting shipped over with Beidou's help, and we are getting everything by Thursday. We are getting our own house but considering you're 18, its fine if you decide to stay here. I've made arrangements with Ningguang. The wedding is April 1 and you must decide by then if you're staying here."
I must have had a smile from ear to ear because Xiao squeezed my hand multiple times indicating me to try and calm down, but I couldn't.
I was so happy. I got to be with Xiao, for however long i wanted to. Not a time limit, just forever.
Xiao was smiling.
"Xiao and Aether sitting in a tree..." teased Lumine
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G"
"Oh my god stop~" i said
Xiao's POV
Oh my god. Aether is moving in. That's the real test. But lord, i cant even imagine how I'm going to feel. I'm shocked, i thought people from Khaenri'ah were brutal and ruthless murderers, but Aether is different. Aether is kind and loving. Aether, goddamn I can't keep him out of my head. We go to sleep, snuggling and just enjoying everything as it was. But the wedding is coming, it's time for preparations.
