Third Person POV
Alo Yoga Liyue Studio, 190 Contract St, Downtown Liyue Harbor
Aether walked into the yoga studio, quite flustered, because yet again he had a run in with Albedo before he left the university for the final time until January. A text from Xiao appeared, he checked it:
Xiao, 4:30pm- You coming home?
Aether texted back, their conversation beginning,
Aether, 4:31pm- Yes love, I'll be home around 5. Getting a quick yoga sesh in.
Xiao- Alright, ill see you then. Love you bunches!
Aether- I love you too hun :)
The yoga studio was more packed than normal. Aether's rolled out his new mat, and began a quick flow, popped in his headphones, and flowed for around 20 minutes, then meditated in the cool room for 10. He then dried off, changed, then wrapped up and went home. The air was very cold, a cold wave came in, and the weather reached to 20 degrees as the sun was already down. Aether did not feel like going through the woods to get to his house, as they didn't get a car.
Aether teleported to the waypoint that was around the corner, and walked to his doorstep, grabbing the mail on the way in.
A letter came in from Dawn Winery, addressed to the Xiaother fiancés, on 145 Harbor Beach Trail, West Liyue Harbor, Liyue. It was the wedding itinerary, and Xiao and Aether set it off to the side for now, as they didnt want to go over it just yet. Their wedding was being covered by the government of Liyue, due to the "Heroes of Liyue Fund" of which both got awards and access to a trust fund of over one billion mora months ago after fighting off forces in Sumeru and fighting alongside the soldiers of the Harbor.
Sandy beaches were a thing of the past, as summer passed the couple by. They stayed in their home, warm and blocked from the outside air that became more frigid than ever, and sat to eat dinner.
"How was yoga?" Xiao asked, curious about his lover's endeavors in what they call "Fitness"
"Oh, the usual. Braxton wasnt in the studio today, but Yanfei and Ganyu of all people were both there today to begin memberships. They asked me about it before."
"I would've never guessed those two would come, they're always so busy."
"Yeah, I guessed they think Yoga'll let off some steam."
"Well then, lets get acquainted. I'm really tired, this food was amazing, thanks again dear."
"Anytime Xiao. Love you."
Aether kissed Xiao and then went off to the bathroom to shower and then go to sleep.
Sunday, December 19
Xiao and Aether's house, 145 Harbor Beach Trail
They woke up the next morning, both still tired, however functioning, to get up and get ready for the day in. The cold wave fully set in, and it was a whopping minus 5 degrees outside that morning. Thankfully the heat and electricity were still functioning, but Liyue was far too cold this morning. Both of them stayed in ther pajamas and figured that today would be a cleaning day, since there was nothing else to do. Aether cleaned the kitchen, did both of their laundry, and cleaned out the fridge of food that went bad. Both of them felt productive.
Xiao cleaned out the basement, and went to the crawl space. He brought out a box, then another, and cleaned behind them, checking for onikabuto and mice. There would often be bugs that came in in the cold, and this tremendous cold was no different. Thankfully no bugs were present. Xiao moved on to the other corner, then moved a box, and another, began cleaning the floor (It was a finished tile floor and the entire crawl space was lit), and as he went across the very corner of the tile he seemed to notice something. There was a notch, that was very hidden to where you couldnt see it if you weren't looking. Xiao called out, "Aeth, come look!"
Aether came downstairs in a hurry, rag and spray bottle in hand, and crawled into the crawl space, then made his way to where Xiao was at. Xiao points at the notch, and then Aether comes over to inspect it as well. Aether takes note of this, then slips his fingers under the notch and pulls. It raises three tiles,and its a door to a tunnel that lead into a room with fairy lights in the tunnel, and white tile, as well as two different pedestals wielding vases full of artificial flowers.
"Is there seriously a man cave in this house?" Xiao whispers, as Aether crawls down the steep stair-ladder, and walks down the tunnel to see a room. There was a window on the end of this room, letting in a huge amount of natural light. It overlooked the harbor, and was in the cliff that their house was on. This was a man Ave, and it had a couple couches overlooking the view. Xiao slowly awed at the new room, then sat in one of the couches and just looked at the rocky cliff sides and the vast, seemingly never ending ocean that was probably 50 feet below them.
"This is amazing..." Aether started, beginning to clean the room, as he had the supplies to do so. It was very dusty, to be expected for a room that hasn't been inhabited for over six months.
They finish cleaning this room, then go upstairs, through the crawl space, and head off to eat dinner.
