Xiao's POV
Aether dressing up as a groom was cute, it made me red as well. His friends and relatives from Mondstadt were coming down, Lumine, Venti, Amber, Barbara, as well as Kazuha and Beidou all came into town for the University of Liyue Halloween Party, but the main thing everyone was here for wasn't the main party, but the after-parties. So so many of them. Aether wanted to host one, but we decided not to because i didn't want to clean the house or have anything stolen.
It was late, we got to the party around 8:45. I was dressed in a tuxedo, i wanted to look like a politician. I had a little SFX makeup on, to make me look corrupted, so it was like a 'corrupted politician' look. Aether did the same.
He was so cute, i couldn't get over how he looked scholarly and formal.
Suddenly, someone bursted through the door and suddenly ran into the living room as I was adjusting Aether's bow, to make it look presentable.
"HELLO TO THE BEAUTIFUL GAY BASTARDS!!!!" Said a familiar voice
"Oh god here we go" I said
"VENTI!!! it's been so long, how have you been??" Aether said, suddenly running away from me, as I was in the middle of finishing his bow. It felt a little upsetting.
"I have SO much energy! I need to cool off before this party comes. Are we even going to the regular party??"
"I mean, I wanted to go to the afterparties only to be honest" Aether said, looking at me and winking. He knew i didn't want to go to a party with 2000 people.
"Ventiii~"
"What??"
"I know you brought somethinggg~"
"I don't know what you're talking about" He said, clearly knowing what Aether was talking about
Aether goes to Venti's bag and pulls out the biggest bottle of champagne I've ever seen in my life. "Oh so this is nothing?"
"We- welllll"
Lumine and Dainslief come into the house with Amber closely trailing behind. Aether runs up to hug Lumine and Dainslief, as they began talking, and i couldn't hear them.
"The trip down here was exhausting..." Amber said
"Amber you literally used four waypoints, you're fine." Lumine said back to her
"The real challenge was the hike down that mountain to get in here, since we cant all fly like Venti over here" Dainslief said
Venti's face went red
"Well everyone, are we pregaming or what???" Venti said
Aether and Venti helped pour shots, and both of theirs and Lumine's were with a generous amount. We all made a toast to our new house and took the shots, then began shuffling out of the house to head to Remi Halfwood's house, who was celebrating Halloween as well as his birthday. The air was getting cold, it was 40 degrees out, and the weather was beginning to turn windy. We arrived at that house and began to progressively get more drunk, with Venti being the most out of all of us. I was the least, i was almost sober just because I felt bad whenever i drank, like some unfounded guilt. Aether wasn't drunk either, just a little tipsy.
Albedo suddenly walked into the party and began dancing as well. He suddenly caught sight of Aether and after taking a shot, began walking over. I thought that he was just coming to say hello, but out of nowhere, he brought him out to dance. Aether, after taking a shot, went along with it and danced with him. I was mad, it felt like i was powerless. Aether didn't really seem to want to, but Albedo didn't care. Then, something i never expected happened.
They kissed.
Aether's POV
"Albedo, what the fuck?? My fian— i mean— never mind" I knew some of the people in the party heard what i said, and looked over.
Nobody was paying attention to me and Albedo really, because many were dancing, but i heard someone shout "F/g!" Out of nowhere in the distant crowd, but i couldn't tell who it was because of the music.
Albedo, clearly drunk, raised his voice, and said "Well look at this! Aether thought you all should know..."
"No no, albedo, stoppit!"
"That he is getting married!!"
The music stopped and the crowd all froze and collectively gasped.
'Albedo! Stop this!'
I began to walk through the crowd, that was parting as i walked, all staring at me.
"To Xiao!!"
I turned around, looked at albedo, and gave him a huge glare and dirty look.
Xiao's face went bright red and he got up out of his seat, and ran out of the room. He then ran out of the house. I pushed Albedo away, who suddenly came up behind me, and went outside to find Xiao, at a corner, crying.
