Third Person POV
The blond, a native of hot and humid Khaenri'ah wasn't used to the cold. So when the cold began gripping Liyue as the city descended further into the winter months, the blond got more and more uncomfortable with the weather. Up north in Mondstadt, the snowstorm that lightly sprinkled Liyue dumped two feet of snow on Mondstadt City and the surrounding area.
Xiao, seeing the discomfort of his partner, quickly rushed over to comfort him with a warm embrace and a kiss. This cold air set in and created great discomfort for Aether, as well as Xiao, but he did a good job of hiding it whereas the other did not hesitate to voice his discomfort. The students at the university were creepily getting jealous of Aether.
Just last week...
A student nicknamed Bee cornered Aether, asking what his relationship to Xiao was. Aether, clearly intimidated was scared to say that Xiao was his fiancé, but the student that cornered him already knew and was incredibly jealous. Fighting back angry tears, she stated
"You don't deserve him. You're long haired, and ugly. He should be with someone better than you."
Aether was now the one fighting back tears. Even in college, people got easily jealous and started fights and conflicts, even though multiple people scoffed at the immaturity. Xiao and Aether continued to stay together, never questioning a thing in their relationship. But then one day, Xiao saw Aether talking with one of his new friends, by the name of Yanfei, and suddenly hugged her. Xiao's face went bright red, and he left the hallway where it was happening.
Aether was hugging Yanfei because she had congratulated him for his wedding and what was to come before the first semester of college ended. Unbeknownst to him, Xiao who was watching, quickly left and went to his home. Fourth period ended and Aether walked to the courtyard, expecting to see his lover but after he failed to show, he began walking home. As he walked into the door, Xiao was sitting on the couch as Aether walked in asking why he wasnt there.
"Xiao, I didn't see you in the courtyard! Where were yo-"
"Aether."
"Y- yes?"
"Who was that girl?"
confused, aether recounted his day then remembered Yanfei and let out a small giggle.
"That was just my friend congratulating me on us...
wait a minute... Xiao, are you... are you jealous?"
Aether then giggled some more, quickly becoming flustered and went to Xiao, picking him up with one swift movement and said,
"You're adorable when you're jealous..."
Xiao, who's eyes went wide after the sudden pick up, quickly laughed it off and tried resisting his lover continuing to hold him like a baby, but his lover's grip only strengthened. Aether said,
"I would never cheat on you, understand that, but your jealousy is humorous"
Aether then let Xiao down and they but hugged and sat down on the couch.
Xiao was slightly embarrassed that Aether, who was way stronger than he looked, could hold Xiao in his grasp without him fighting back with simply a slight flex of his muscles. Xiao was short and light, while Aether was tall and heavier.
The snow getting heavier outside for the third snowstorm this month in just two weeks, the winter movies, Christmas decorations, and everything in between made festive season in the Xiaother household extremely prudent. Xiao and Aether fell asleep on the couch together for the second time in a week, after watching a movie. Aether would always be the one laying on his lovers chest, while Xiao's hand would be intertwined with the tangles of Aether's wavy, loosely braided, and golden hair.
