Chapter One: Acceptance Letters

West Liyue Harbor is equivalent to Pacific Palisades in California, but with a lot more trees. Liyue Harbor City became a huge sprawling city that is the hub of all imports and travel in Liyue.

Friday, August 27, 2021:
Third Person POV

The warm air of the ocean, mixed with the pine trees of West Liyue Harbor creates a piney smell that breezes past the newly opened University of Liyue. Everything is going well, the countries are at peace, Aether and Xiao are in good health, and everyone seems happy.

They both bought a new house together, overlooking the beach and the trees that surround them. They are at the base of a hill, and own a portion of the beach thats adjacent to their house.

After receiving their acceptance letters, Aether and Xiao both rejoice in their home. Both received 'Heroes of Teyvat' Scholarships, making it free to go to any university of their choice in Teyvat. They picked the prestigious University of Liyue and awaited acceptance.

The warm smells of Liyue Harbor City flow into the West as the breeze comes and goes. The top of Mount Applewood is full of classic Liyue Style buildings, pine and apple trees, and many many people attending the school.

A letter arrived in mid-august with a school supply list and acceptance.

"...All personal items and elemental supplies are due in shipping one week before term begins on Wednesday, August 25
Term begins on Wednesday, September 1."

Attached are Student IDs and all three of them pick them out of their boxes.

All three of them are overjoyed that they finally get to attend a university to better expand their elemental magic.

"The breeze feels good here..." Xiao says

"I agree, it feels warm. September is always a good month for Liyue" Aether returned

"It feels good to finally have someone here, with me, on my journey. We almost lost you in May, and it was...scary to say the least."

"A friendly reminder that i saw what happened to you in your earlier years, Xiao, so you can talk to me if you need."

"Thank you, my love."

Aether's birthday is approaching, and what he doesn't know is that Xiao has a large party planned for him.

"I'm a Virgo, so you know what i love."

Aether's POV

The greatest birthday present is right in front of me, on this table, in our new house. I already have everything i want, and more.

The breeze of our neighborhood in West Liyue Harbor welcomes in the dream. We both know what we want, and thats a better education to help out and eventually become executives of the Liyue Adventurers Guild. All is going well for us.

The sun begins to caress the horizon as me and Xiao overlook the sea. It's beautiful, and one of the best sights to behold. This will never get old i thought to myself, maybe prematurely, as we just bought the place in July. The heat of the summer is finally behind us as the air begins to get down to the mid-70s and will stay like this until Early December. The university is atop the hill behind our house, and a good walk there.

One thing that i would always envision is living out my life with someone who i loved in this area. I wanted a house on the beach, but with many trees, and overlooking a scenic view. We got a good view of the city, and a great view of the sea. Xiao spends his days looking at journals, fighting off Hilichurls in our area, being the heroic man i envision marrying one day.

The sun sets finally, and me and Xiao head off to eat dinner on our balcony. I cook for him every day, he loves it. I make him a plate of Almond Tofu and a plate of Steak and Crème of Mushroom soup, one dish he has grown to enjoy quite fondly. I eat the same thing, on the table we have outside, that has two seats.

My favorite thing about this house is the fact that it almost completely captures our first date completely in the evenings. We have a table that sits two, across from each other, and the sun sets on the ocean by us.

I love this, i love him, and I'm excited to embark on this new journey we have together.
