(The Sinless Soldier)

"Secretive people are often the most dangerous."

"You are a trigger away from making the biggest mistake of your life." I uttered eyes shifting away from Commander Nile Dok, noticing a fast figure heading our direction.

'Is that?' I thought, eyes widening as my body filled with adrenaline. My body sank like a shipwreck filling with water as my realization made my thoughts spiral. I'm losing an opportunity that's so close in my grasps it's painful to think about. I have so many opportunities to make a move, but I'm stuck in time, unable to think fast enough.

Before anyone could make a move or shoot their rifles. A strong gust of wind passed between Erwin and Nile knocking the rifle out of his grasp as if a titan shoved it. The metal of the rifle collided with the stone ground, breaking the barrel from the harsh impact.

We all simultaneously tuned our attention noticing they had already fled the scene, not even a few seconds have passed through time, and yet their presence was no longer near us.

"Who the hell was that!" Commander Nile Dok yelled, eyes burning with annoyance and fury of what just happened. "Why the hell are you guys still standing here? Capture them!" He ordered strictly.

"Don't." Erwin commented.

"Excuse me? You are in no position to speak right now!" If he doesn't lower his voice, I will end up shoving a barrel through his mouth and pull the trigger without hesitation, since I might have lost the perfect opportunity.

"Look at the ground beneath you, see anything?" I voiced, crossing my arms. A single note was situated perfectly between Erwin and Nile almost too perfect. The paper was folded 4 times, neat edges lined the perimeter of the paper.

Erwins head ducked seeing the same note I was, he began lowering himself to grab it before the annoying voice erupted again.

"Don't you dare pick it up," Erwin's movement halted. "I will!"

I wanted to clench Commander Nile Dok's throat in my hands so desperately it was almost painful to restrain myself. He's hindering our objective, and I can't do anything about it. Since my ankle is still injured and Erwin isn't letting me use ODM gear because of it.

If I wasn't injured, I'd be gone by now chasing that soldier until I had them captured against a corner with nowhere to run.

Nile grabbed the note unfolding it. His eyes scanned over the note vigorously, before landing them on me.

"Are you going to read it? or continue staring at me like a lost child?" My steel grey eyes narrowed into thin slits. He cleared his throat from my threatening expression.

"The Note states," He cleared his throat again. "I can only provide so much help, but I've rendered the Female Titans legs unusable for the time being. Time cannot be wasted with me, if the Scouts or Eren Yeager are in desperate need of my help, shoot a black flare signal and I will immediately give my support."

I stood still rendering what Nile just read out loud. So that was the 'Faceless Soldier'. If I wasn't so blind with adrenaline, I would have never noticed just how fast they were moving through the air. If I'm going to state the truth, they are definitely faster than before.

It was almost like time and speed shifted together and made one thing.

Currently the Female Titan is unable to walk since they severed both of her Achilles tendons which just gave me a completely different perspective as too the skills this Soldier possesses. That may give us some extra time for the others to make a run for it, if they're trapped.

And if one of us Shoots a Black smoke signal, they with help us and that Brat if either of us gets into any serious shit? but they can only provide so much help? What the hell are they even trying to say?

"There's more at the bottom," My breath hitched, there's more? "One last thing Erwin, keep Captain Levi away from me."

The beating of my heart plunged to a slow pace, barely detectable if tested against my neck. I felt like I got swept away by a wave of uncontrollable thoughts that were begging for answers I knew would never get answered.

They want me to stay away from them?
They see me as a threat?
They see me as...Dangerous?

Erwin turned his head with a look neither me nor Nile could decipher. He had a look of pure want in those blue crystal eyes. Like what that note stated was something of a new beginning. Something that may bring a new sense of improvement, or rather something that may bring a new name to rivalry.

A rivalry between strengths.
