(The Sinless Soldier)

"I made another mistake."

:—————:

It's been hours since Erwin and the rest have left the confinements of Trost, and I'm here sitting with the damn MPs who think they can say whatever they please and not have consequences to their idiotic mouths. But I manage to shut them up quite nicely with my wise words of experience.

So far, no other reporters have arrived and explained the situation that's currently going on. However, from the last reporter who did come over here panting a sweating up the place, did have some questionable information.

One of the key points I had my ears eager on was that they may have officially saw the 'Faceless Soldier'. Though they still haven't identified them or gave us any clue as who it can be, but they seemed quite restless when they told us the information.

Their eyes are what gave it off, like fright took them over and shrouded them with the soldier's face. Now that only leaves me wondering how terrifying they must look? Who know maybe it's someone they know? Or they just possess something ugly on their face, but I won't know until I see them myself.

Oh, and once I see them, I will make sure they get a piece of my mind, and my fist.

Cracking my neck side to side I got up from my seat, immediately getting stares from the MPs. I'm sure my earlier conversations with them must've left them on nerve, because their faces are priceless.

Clicking my tongue, I got off the cart, suddenly as my right foot touched the ground I felt an immense amount of pain strike through my knee, making my balance tip over to my left. My knee was throbbing like it had been torn and twisted out of place.

Teeth grinding together I tried placing pressure on my right foot, but my knee just caved beneath me. I looked down and everything was normal, nothing was displaced or even remotely different.

'What the hell?' I thought, recalling a few seconds ago. I couldn't have twisted my knee getting off a damn cart, that something old people would do, and I'm by no means old.

Imagine if 'Humanities Strongest Soldier' twisted his knee getting off a stupid cart, now that's just depressing to even think about.

Shaking it off mentally, I got up feeling the throbbing sensation in my knee slowly die off.

'Strange, I must've stepped off wrong' I assumed that was the case since my foot placement was probably off.

Walking away from the others, the commotion slowly dissipated into the background. I absolutely despise loud people talking when I know for a fact soldiers are dying as they speak. The fact that they're so oblivious to what's actually going on is what really makes me furious.

But what I'm about to do makes me feel even worse.

Walking up a few steps I knocked on a door, I waited. In silence I waited, and nothing happened. No one walked up and opened the door. Not even footsteps were heard from the other side, it was simply silent.

I knocked a few extra times and the same thing happened, nothing. I grabbed the door handle, and it was locked. I looked over my shoulders twice to see for any pedestrians walking along the street, there were none.
