(The Sinless Soldier)

"Souls don't meet by accident."

:—————:

"Get her the same thing, it's on me." I looked over towards this woman not getting a single gesture from her.

It's like she's frozen to the damn spot, unable to move, unable to speak, unable to do anything.

It's pissing me off.

"Alright." The bartender exclaimed readying his things to make another drink before our eyes.

I took another sip of my whiskey feeling the light burn flow down my throat, it's soothing to say the least. Especially at 4 in the morning with no one here but that mysterious woman sitting two seats down from me.

I already have a mysterious Soldier who's getting on my fucking nerves from the letter they passed me a few hours ago that I have yet to respond too or think deeper about. And now I have this woman who has no interests in speaking with me.

I feel as if no one wants to interact with me unless it's me ordering the brats around or me being ordered around by Erwin.

Not that I object to either of them.

"Here you go." I watched carefully as the bartender set the drink in front of the woman's face. Her H/C hair flowed past the side of her face covering it completely, and I didn't find it soothing to know I couldn't see it.

She grabbed the crystal glass gently with her slim but beaten-up hand, noticing a diamond plated ring on her middle finger as she tipped and rolled the ball of ice in the amber liquid before taking a small sip. Her hair shifted and my eyes grew narrower. I saw how her puffy L/C lips shaped the glass while the dark liquid flowed down, and how her nose tipped up from reclining her neck back to withdraw the whisky from the glass.

I couldn't see much, but what I saw was enough to ease the feeling crawling at my skin.

'She's pretty' I thought only going off the characteristics of what I just saw.
Not much, but elegant.

But that ring definitely caught my eye.

Back in the underground's when I used to be a notorious thief or criminal. I could differentiate between real and fake diamonds on people's rings.
And the ring that's currently wrapped around that woman's middle finger is definitely real plated diamonds.

If I had to guess, that ring is worth about $60,000 to $80,000 if it were to be sold at a jewelry shop in the capital of Mitras.

That tells me this woman isn't from here, but rather from Mitras. Or she stole it and likes to wear it around even though it's likely to get ripped from her finger one day and sold for lots of money.

"You shouldn't wear rings like that around Trost, it's likely to get stolen." I say, watching her halt her movement.

She doesn't say a word.

Is she mute? No, no she's not.

"Your best bet is to stop; you won't get a peep out of her mouth. Trust me I've tried." The bartended smiled cockily while he cleaned out the glasses to serve to the next customers whenever they'll appear later in the day.
