{Demi POV}

I hang up with Colin and anxiously wait for the second half to begin, and when it does, his first pass is for a touchdown. After that play, he never looked back, and led his team all the way to victory. Dylan stays asleep during the whole thing. She's still cuddled up to me as I watch the post game conference..it's crazy to to think this will be his last one, and he has CJ by his side. "Colin can you tell us what happen in the first half." "I didn't play well. Didn't make my throws, didn't execute on my end." "Second half you went 14/15, 299 yards, 4 touchdowns, what changed?" "A lot of things. I threw the ball a little bit better. But I give much credit to the defense. Held them to no points second half, and allowed us to get back in this game." "How does it feel..being that it's your last game?" "It's bittersweet. I love playing football but for everyone it has to come to an end, but now I get to devote 100 percent of myself to my beautiful wife and kids." "Speaking of kids, you have your son next to you, gonna coach him up a little bit and let him follow in your footsteps?" "Whatever this young man wants to do, I'm gonna support him. I'm not sure if its football that he wants to pursue, but if it is, then yes, I'll give him a few pointers, show him a few things as I've already done." He says then ruffle CJ's little curls at the top of his head. CJ slaps his hand away. "I think I messed his hair up." He say and gets a laugh from everyone. "Alright thanks Kap." "Thank you."

He walks off the podium and I change the channel to something else. "Mommy...I have to go to the bathroom." "Okay. Do you want me to go with you." She nods her head yes. We go to the restroom and I stand there and wait, and notice that there are red spots in her underwear. She never had to take her pants off, just her shirt, because that's where she showed pain, and had bruises. I can't help but think that the sick son of a bitch raped her and she was too scared to tell anyone. I immediately call for the doctor. This hurts me to my soul and I can only imagine how Colin is gonna feel.

{Colin's POV}

After the press conference I let everyone know what's up and we head to the hospital. We get there, take the elevator to her floor and go to her room. I gently knock before walking in, and when I do, I see my beautiful baby girl. "Dylan..." I walk over to her. She turns away and cuddles up to Demi. "Baby it's okay. It's just me. It's daddy." "No." She mumbles. I look up at Demi and she signals me to meet her outside. "What's wrong with her? Why won't she talk to me?" I ask the second she closes the door to the room. "I don't know if there's an easy way to tell you this." She says then wipes a tear from her eye. "What?" "Colin, she was raped." She says that and my heart sinks. "You said she was fine." "That was up until 20 minutes ago when I took her to the restroom." "Did the doctor run tests, is she okay....." "She's fine. The doctor ran tests, and said she's fine, but mentally, I don't know." "Where's the bastard that did this. I'm gonna kill that son of bitch." "They took him into custody. He's already in jail, and I'm sure that's not how you wanna spend retirement."

"So what now?" "I don't know...I honestly don't know how to deal with the fact that my 7 year old daughter was raped. I just don't. I pull her in for a hug." "We'll get through this." "I hope so." Our families leave soon to catch their flights. Then they finally release Dylan and we go home. While Demi gets her ready for bed, I have to let the kids no what's up, so I sit them down at the dinner table to talk. "I'm sure y'all aware of how quiet and stand off-ish Dylan is. She's been through hell. She was also...raped." Words can't describe the looks on their faces. "I just want you guys to be as comforting as possible." "She won't even talk to me though..or let me hug her or anything." CJ says. "She did the same with me too. Seems like it's gonna take her some time to trust males again...even us...but that's all I wanted to tell y'all...I'll be up to your rooms to say good night." They nod and head upstairs.

After they walk upstairs, I grab a small glass, put a few cubes of ice in it, and grab the bottle of Crown Royal in a little stash I have for myself. Soon I hear footsteps in the kitchen. "She finally went to sleep." "That's good. Hopefully she stays that way through the night." "I doubt it." "Well...we'll be right there for her if she does wake up." I say then take another sip. She grabs a wine glass and takes the bottle out that's in the fridge and pours her a glass. She stands by me and leans against the counter. "We can't take her back to school tomorrow." "Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking maybe we found just take her out, and home school her for the rest of the school year." "I'm glad we're on the same page." She says. "I still can't help but think this is my fault." "This isn't your fault Colin." "Sure feels like it." "Well it's not." I down the rest of the drink. "I'm gonna go say goodnight to the kids. I say then walk upstairs.

After I finish, I go to the room and Demi's already in bed and I join her. In the middle of the night, we both her crying and it's loud. We both rush into Dylan's room. "Dylan baby wake up." Demi says. "Mommy.." She cries. "It's okay, I'm here." "Don't let him get me." "No one's gonna get you. You're at home, and no one can get you." "Can you sleep in here?" Demi looks at me and I nod. "Yeah, I'll stay...just try and go back to sleep sweetie." I walk out and go back to the room. The next morning, I get up, do my morning routine, check to see if Dylan is still asleep, which she is, and head downstairs. Demi left a note saying she was withdrawing Dylan from school then going to the grocery store. I look up and Dylan's standing there. "Hey sweetie." She doesn't say anything. I step closer to her, and she takes three steps back. "Dylan....baby girl, I won't hurt you." She shakes her head no. I let out a disappointing sigh as she goes to the living room to watch tv.

{Demi's POV}

After going to Dylan's school to withdraw her and go to the grocery store, I get back home. "Need help with the groceries?" Colin asks. "Please....where's Dylan?" "Watching Tv." "Has she said anything?" "To me.....no. Couldn't get anywhere near her." "Just give her time baby." He nods. "You can start putting the groceries up...I'll bring the rest in." He says then walks out. I start putting the groceries away. He comes in with all the bags in his hands. "Really....did you not wanna make 2 or 3 trips?" "No. Not at all." "Here, let me help you. Looks like you're struggling." "I'm not strugglin baby. I got this." I watch him struggle as hit places all the bags on the island. "Yeah, you weren't stuggling at all. Now put this stuff up." "Yes ma'am my queen." "Thank you honey." I say then slap his ass and grab it. "Watch yourself now, before you get in trouble." I wink before walking out. I go to the living room and sit by Dylan on the couch. "Hi baby." "Hi." She snuggles up to me, and clings on to me tightly. "You're safe sweetie. No one's gonna hurt you. I promise." Colin walks in and sits next to me and her grip tightens and he notices. I can see his eyes water up as he watches her watch television. "I'll be in my mancave...I don't want make her uncomfortable." He says in my ear. I don't want him to leave, but I don't want to put Dylan in this position so I just give a nod of approval. After she falls asleep, I gently lay her down on the couch and cover her up with a blanket and go join Colin.

"Is she sleep?" He asks. "Yeah." I say sitting down next to him. "I know this is hard for you." "Hard isn't even the word. I don't even know how to explain how it is. For the first time in my life, I've felt like I've just....failed." "How have you failed Colin?" "I failed at protecting my family. There was nothing I could do..." "Exactly! You couldn't do anything, because if you could, we would have gotten her back sooner and you know it. We were in a situation where we literally could do nothing. Don't blame yourself." "Yeah...well I do." He says then gets up and walks out.
