Chapter 40

{Colin's POV}

I open the door for my beautiful wife after pulling up to the restaurant. She takes my hand while stepping out and I hand the keys to the valet. We walk inside, hand in hand.

"Reservations under Kaepernick."

"Right this way." He says after finding my name on the list. We sit down at our table and look over the wine menu first, order a drink, then take some time to look over the food menu, then order.

"I know I say this a lot...and I mean it every single time, but damn...you are so beautiful." She smiles.

"Thank you baby."

"And you look handsome as always. Like super hot. I don't know how I got so lucky."

"Who you tellin?! To this day, I still ask how I got so lucky."

"We truly are blessed." The waiter brings out our drinks.

"We should toast to something." I say.

"Hmm...to...being blessed."

I smile. "To being blessed." We tap our glasses together and take a sip.

"So how was your day with the girls?"

"It was good. Those girls are crazy...and I mean that in the greatest possible way."

"Yeah, they're hilarious when together."

"I would ask about you and CJ but since Jas was over, I take it all his attention was on her."

"Yeah...well I was able to talk to him before she came over."

"...and?"

"And we talked about what we needed to talk about."

"I hope y'all talked about abstinence..condoms and all that good stuff..now that he has a girlfriend."

"That's a conversation we definitely need to have with him."

"We need to have it with both him and Cali."

"Agreed." Our dinner comes out, we eat and then leave.

"I hope they didn't burn down the house."

"Yeah, well we'll find out tomorrow morning."

"Tomorrow morning? Where are we going?"

"Well...this date is far from over, and I don't wanna go back home to a house of five kids..so we're going to a hotel tonight." She raises an eyebrow.

"Ooooooo...that's kinda scandalous a little bit."

"Yeah...scandalous...without the scandal."

"I love it."

We get up to the hotel room, which is on the very top floor, and Demi heads straight for the window to view the scenery.

"This is beautiful. I swear, this city never fails to amaze me." I hug her from behind and rest my chin on her shoulder.

"You're beautiful." I say before kissing her neck...taking in her scent of perfume...the one that I love.

"Come on.." I take her hand and lead her to the bed. I take her dress off, and she kicks off her heels then lays on her stomach. I go to the bag that I packed for us and take out the massage oils and set it on the dresser next to the bed. I get undressed...Demi eyeing me the entire time. I strip down to my briefs and climb on top of her. While indulging in a kiss, I feel her legs wrap around my waist.
