"Looked like you two had fun today." My dad says after I walk in the house.
"Yeah we did. How could you tell?"
"Mom stocked your Instagram all day."
"Of course she did. We had fun though. Thanks a lot."
"You're welcome." I go upstairs and go to Cali's room...of there's one person I trust not to say anything, it's her. I walk in, shut the door and sit on the basketball bean bag.
"Soooo, how was your day?" She asks.
"It was good. Great actually."
"What made it so great?"
"Well....tonight ended with a kiss." She takes a pillow and throws it at me.
"Shut up! You're lying?"
"I swear."
"You kissed her or she kissed you?"
"She kissed me...well I was in the process of asking for one and she just...kissed me." I look down and smile while running my finger across my lip.
"So are all like official, or.."
"I don't think so...I mean it was just a kiss."
"CJ, I'm telling you right now, establish something with her, and if you don't, leave her alone and just stay friends. She's not one of them girls you met at the party last week. They are hoes. She is not."
"I hear what you're sayin...but I don't know.."
"You don't know?" She throws another pillow at me.
"You better figure it out. If you want to see what high school girls have to offer...then go ahead..but don't lead her on, and have her thinking y'all are dating. That's all I'm saying."
"Like I said...I hear you."
"Yeah, but are you listening?"
"Yes. I'm listening sis." I take the pillow and throw it at her.
"Aye....you can't tell anyone okay. I don't want people making a big deal out of something that's nothing."
"I got you bro."
"Thank you. So what's up with you and that girl from the party?" I ask her.
"Nothing...just some girl...that's been texting me non-stop.." She says holding up her phone, showing me that she just text her.
"Yeah, well, you always did know how to choose the ones that never get the hint." I say standing up.
"Uhh correction...they choose me. Not the other way around."
"Yeah yeah. I'll see you in the morning. Good night."
"Night lover boy."
"Shut up."

{Colin's POV}
I've talked to just about every underclassman that made my varsity team except one...my son. I saved him for last. We just finished up morning conditioning and the boys are getting ready for the school day. I sent CJ a text message, telling him to come to my office when he finishes getting dressed. Soon there's a knock at my door.
"Come in."
"You wanted to see me?" CJ asks.
"Yeah...I just wanted to tell you congratulations. You made it."
"Thanks." He says shaking my hand.
"You also got the starting spot. You earned that." He nods.
