{Colin's POV}
The boys have done everything they can on the field, from an offensive and defensive standpoint. CJ's been flawless, threw 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Only problem is this team has been able to match us. We're up by 3, 3 seconds on the clock and all we need is one more defensive stop and the championship is theirs.
I'm so damn nervous I can't even watch..but I have to. All the boys on the side line are on one knee, anxious to see what happens this next play. The ball is snapped, thrown and intercepted! The game is over, and the boys rush the field, but a few of them stay back to dump the remaining Gatorade and ice that's in the dispenser. This shit is cold as hell but that don't even matter. I make my way to the field to shake hands with the other coaches and celebrate with the guys on the field.
I get the boys in the lockerroom, make a quick victory speech, let them get showered and dressed, and I change out of my sticky clothes. We make our way to the bus and I let whoever wants to leave with their parents leave right then and there.
"Dad, I'm gonna leave with CeCe.." CJ says.
"Alright....hey...you played a hell of a game today. Proud of you."
"Thanks pops."
"I know you're gonna go party and stuff...be careful. Don't get into any shit."
"I won't. Go out and have yourself a drink old man. You deserve it."
"You know what, I just might do that." He disappears into the sea of cars in the parking lot.
"DADDYYY!" I'm attacked by an eleven year old.
"Hey kiddo."
"Congratulations."
"Thank you. Did you see your brother out there being a beast?!"
"Yup. But there were some times where he should have ran but instead he got sacked. You gotta fix that dad."
"I know, I know. But he'll learn soon enough."
"I'm sure he will. Look who his dad is." Demi says. "Those legs of yours were money!"
"They were indeed."
"Congratulations, Colin."
"Thank you...so I know the older ones are partying tonight, what are you two ladies gonna get into tonight."
"I don't know Dylan...what do you wanna do?"
"Sleep...I'm tired." She says dramatically.
"Well, that's what we're doing..sleep. What about you."
"I don't know. Might treat the coaches to drinks at a bar."
"Well, have fun."
"I will....and I will see you tomorrow night when you come back home."
"Okay." Dylan gives me a hug. "Love you."
"I love you too."
I watch them as they walk to the car. Once they leave, my eyes scan the parking lot and end up on Lori. Before hopping on the bus, I trot over to her car.
"Congratulations."
"Thank you. They played their butts off. And next year, your son gets to join in on the fun."
"I can't wait. From the two days he's been practicing with the team, he says he loves it."
"That's good. Hope he's having some fun so far because that's what we're all about. Having fun and winning games while doin it....where is he?"
"He left with your son actually."
"He's in good hands. I trust my kids and they really don't do stupid shit, so you really have nothing to worry about."
"Good, I really didn't know what to think of it. I just agreed to it without thinking."
"So, wanna go out, and have a couple drinks. I was gonna treat the coaches but they'll get a steak dinner or something." She giggles.
"Sure. I'd love to."
"Cool...there's a bar called Lucky.."
"13." She says finishing my sentence.
"So you know it?"
"I do. Have drinks there with co-workers all the time."
"Okay, well I have to ride on the bus back to the school. Meet me there and we can take my car."
"Okay." She opens the door to her car.
"Hold up, I don't get a congratulations kiss or nothin." She smiles and walks back over to me and gives me a kiss on the lips and I deepen it. "I'll see you at the school. Drive safe."
"I will." I run back to the bus and we leave. We finally pull up to the school and all the parents are already there waiting. Lori waits in the car as I make sure that every player leaves safely with their parents. Once the last kid is gone I call Lori and tell her to come inside for a second, I have to put a couple things away.
She leans against my desk while I do what I have to do. I notice she picks up the picture frame of me and the kids.
"Your kids are beautiful."
"Thank you. I'd like to take all the credit, but I can't." We both giggle.
"Do they know your dating?"
"Not really...is Erikson okay with the men you date."
"Well, I haven't been on many dates lately but I've always told him whenever I did, after I knew the relationship was going somewhere."
"So I guess it's safe to say what we got goin is between us is just between us."
"Well, I mean, we've already been out in public."
"You know what I mean...between our kids." I step in front of her and trap her between me and the desk. I give her a peck on the lips and she pulls me in for another one. Things get heated and I didn't mean to, but i had sex with her right there on my desk. The thought of going to a bar just went away.
"I really don't do that so soon." She says buttoning her pants.
"No, it's okay. I don't look at you any different. It's partially my fault. I couldn't control myself."
"Well, I didn't say I didn't like it. Because I did."
"Good. I know it's only been a couple days but i have developed some feelings for you, and I'm eager to see where this goes, and when the time comes, we'll figure out a way to tell the kids."
"Sounds good." I give her another peck on the lips and we don't go to the bar, we instead go our separate ways and I go home.
