Chapter 51

{Colin's POV}

I wake up to Demi's alarm going around 6:30. It's the kids first day of school. I get out of bed after Demi. By the time I get up, she's already out the room. I brush my teeth, wash my face and throw on some clothes. I go downstairs and Demi's in the kitchen making coffee.

"Want a cup?"

"Yeah, I'll take one. Is Dylan awake?"

"Yeah, she's getting ready...can you believe she's in middle school already?"

"I know...crazy how fast this is going." She sits the coffee mug in front of me.

"Thank you." She makes breakfast, and by the time she's done, Dylan walks in the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie." I say.

"Morning daddy."

"You look very pretty."

"Thank you."

"Sit down so you can eat breakfast."

She takes a seat on the stool next to me. Demi places a plate of food in front of her. CJ walks into the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie, you're up early." Demi says.

"I smelled food."

He sits next to Dylan and pulls her ear and she smacks his hand away. He pokes her side and she smacks his hand away again.

"Stopppp."

"Stopppp." He imitates her.

"Enough you two. Here CJ." She hands him a plate.

"Thanks....so dill pickle...you ready for school today?"

"Yeah."

"And if anybody messes with you...you know who to go to right?"

"My teacher."

"Nope. You come to me...so I can kick there a-"

"no sir." Demi interrupts him.

"I get what you mean." She says.

"Good."

"Here's your schedule sweetie." Demi puts a piece of paper on the island, and CJ grabs it before she does.

"....Theater Arts. What a geeeeeek." He jokes.

"Shut up."

"I'm just playing with you. You know I'll be there for all your plays and stuff."

"I know you will."

"Alright sweetie, 10 more minutes then it's time to go." She nods and finishes eating. Once it's time to leave, she gives me a big hug.

"I love you. Have a great day."

"I love you too."

{CJ's POV}

After getting ready for school, I wait for Cali to come downstairs. There's a knock at the door and it's Jas.

"Damn, you look beautiful."

"Thanks babe." I let her in and we sit on the couch and wait.

"Y'all ready." Cali asks.

"Yup. Lets go."

"Wait..." My mom says.

"Gotta take pictures."

"No pictures." I say putting my hand over my face.

"Come on CJ. Just one."

"Alright..." Cali, jas and I take the picture, then get ready to leave. We leave the house and get to school. We walk in, and Jas sees some of her friends and she wants to go talk to them. I stand there, minding my own business while they talk. The finally rings, I was getting bored just standing there. Through out the day, I always made sure I met up with her in between classes just to see her. I actually was almost late to practice because of her.
