Reinvention: Sequel to The Married Life

Chapter 76

{Colin's POV}

Summer flew by quick. It consisted of taking CJ and Erikson to different football camps across the country so they can sharpen their skills. We stayed in Arizona for 2 weeks and I took them to a top notch workout facility that I use to train at during my off seasons and they got to work out with some NFL players, and got to throw with some of the receivers. Everybody was pretty impressed with the both of them, CJ mainly.

I was told that they see a lot of me in him and I can see that. I guess that's a good thing. The twins and Cali helped out with basketball camps for younger kids and Dylan hung out and did stuff with Demi when she'd go to LA and stuff like that. So needless to say it was a very busy summer.

Now it's back to preparing for the season. The twins have already gone back to school. They left early July for summer classes, and I miss them a lot.

Waking up around 11, I get up out of bed and start getting ready. I go to the kitchen, the smell of food filling the air as I get closer.

"Morning baby." I say wrapping my arms around Lori as she's at the stove.

"You're up, finally"

"Yeah, well you kept me up all night, so I blame you." I give her a gentle pat on the butt before going to the fridge to take out the orange juice. "Erikson and CJ still sleep?"

"Yeah...they're still warn out from their last camp this past week."

"Yeah, I figured. But I did get them some of the best coaching and get them to some of the best camps."

"Thank you so much for doing that for Erikson too. He loved it and he definitely has more confidence. Just the way he carries himself ever since you've come around."

"I'm glad I can do that for him...what time you gotta go to work?"

"I'm going in at 1. Just for a little bit though. Did you get everything that I need from the store."

"Yeah, I did. They're upstairs in my bag. I'll give them to you before you leave...have I ever told you you're the best accountant I've ever had."

"All the time."

"And Imma keep telling you. You're the best." I give her a kiss.

"Go wake those boys up and tell them the foods ready."

I go to Erikson's room, he's sprawled out on the bed and CJ as well, he's just on the floor. I grab one of the pillows next to CJ and wake them both up with a pillow to the face.

They both groan and put the covers over their head. "Wake up. Breakfast is ready."

"K." CJ groans.

"Now or its gonna get cold."

"That's what microwaves are for." Erikson says. I shake my head and walk out.

"Y'all got 30 more minutes, we got moves to make today."

"Did they wake up?"

"Nah, not really."

"So what are your plans for the day?"

"The kids have doctors appointments for physicals, gotta go to the eye doctor and dentist."

"All in one day?"
