[Weeks Later]

"Has anyone seen my basketball shorts." Cayleigh asks walking into the kitchen.

The girls all have a basketball tourney this upcoming weekend, Demi's leaving for Canada to start shooting the movie and I have the espy awards, which CJ and Dylan are coming to.

"Nope. No one wears your shorts but you."

"CeCe does all the time actually."

"Then ask her, besides, don't you have a thousand pair of shorts?"

"Well, I wouldn't say a thousand."

"Go ask your sister Cayleigh."

"I did, and she doesn't have them."

"Pick another pair kid."

"I need those. Those are my lucky ones that I take to every tournament, even if I don't wear them."

"If I see them, I'll let you know."

"I have an hour till Bre's mom gets here dad."

"Then you better get to finding them." She rolls her eyes before walking away.

"What's wrong with her?" Demi says walking passed her.

"Can't find her lucky basketball shorts...typical athlete stuff. I just hope she finds them, because she will use that as an excuse if she plays lousy."

"And I know how much you hate when they make excuses."

"Exactly....has it registered to that you're leaving me for almost 3 months."

"Now it has, since you mentioned it. I'm gonna miss you...and the kids. I'm also gonna cherish the 3 months I don't that I don't have nagging kids in my ear everyday. They're like little chickens that just peck you to death." I laugh.

"Well lucky you. But that is what we signed up for when we became parents though."

"I know. But a good getaway is needed every once and a while."

"Yeah but not for a whole three months. I don't know what Imma do with out you for that long." I say pulling her close to me. I give her a kiss on the neck.

"Stop..." She whines.

"Nope."

"Y'all know you have a room upstairs right?" I stop and look over and CJ's standing right there.

"What do you want boy?" I say.

"Food. This is the kitchen...no breakfast today?"

"Nope. Cereal." Demi says.

"Awesome." He says sarcastically.

"We'll finish this later." I whisper in her ear and she winks at me.

"Are you all packed for this weekend?" I ask CJ.

"Yup."

"What you got packed for Sunday?"

"Nice clothes. I made sure they weren't too nice. Don't wanna out shine the man of the hour." He says giving me on the back.

"Please. No matter what you do son...you can't out shine me."

"Whatever old man."

"I might be getting old, but I'm still a handsome man...and don't forget that you get your looks from me." I say stroking my facial hair. "I bet you wish you had some facial hair to touch don't you." I say.
