I got a text when I landed that we were throwing a party tonight. It was from Kat, but I didn't know why? I officially moved in with Nate about a week ago just before I left for Oregon. So I was kind of out of the loop. I didn't mind much though since I had Nate and Garfield. I drove myself here since everyone was busy when I left, so I got my car and was on the way back. Suddenly my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, you are on your way right?" Kat asked and I laughed.

"Yes, I am on my way. I will probably change and then be over." I told her.

"Okay, can you stop by the store and grab a few things if I send you a list?" She asked. I groaned loudly slowing down b behind the cars.

"What do you need?" I asked. Her

"Yes, you are the best!" She screamed.

"I  know, I know." I laughed turning off the interstate.

"You are going to have to tell me about all the girls when you get here." She added, there was a lot of music behind her.

"You got it," I said leaning forward to see past the giant semi to the side of me.

"Okay drive safe, see you soon!" Kat was definitely already a little drunk.

"See ya." I hung up and continued on the highway. It was 7:42. I was surprised she didn't want me to grab alcohol or something. I turned on my radio and maps by Maroon 5 came out. I turned it up singing alone.

I was there for you in your darkest times

I was there for you on your darkest nights

but I wonder where were you?

when I was at my worst

down on my knees

and you said you had my back

so I wonder, where were you?

when all the roads you took came back to me

so I'm following the map that leads to you

the map that leads to-------

A loud screeching sound interrupted my music. I didn't even have time to look before something slammed into the side of my car, shattering my window and throwing the car to the side. I took a deep breath thankful that I was dead, but I looked up seeing another car coming fast. It hit my head shoving my car back into other traffic. My eyes wouldn't open. No matter how hard I tried it didn't work there was nothing.

I heard the ambulance sirens as I took a deep breath. I looked around and saw a man over me.

"She's back." He said. I tried to sit up, but he pushed me down. My whole body ached. "Calm down, you are alright. You are safe." The man told me. I relaxed trying to slow my breathing, but my heart rate was slowing. I could hear it on the monitor.

"I need you to stay awake." The man said to me. I looked up at the ceiling wondering if this would be it. I have no idea what really happened. This was it. I let out a long breath my eyes falling closed. Darkness taking over everything.

I don't know what time it was, but there was a light behind my eyelids. I slowly opened them and saw that I was in the hospital. Well, I wasn't dead. I wonder where I would have been able to haunt somewhere since I died on the highway. I looked down at myself seeing that there was no damage to my limbs surprisingly. No casts. I moved the blankets seeing the stickers for the monitors. I sat up touching my head. There was a scratch on my forehead, but no major wrapping. A doctor came in.
