22. Scariest Night

The idea was Seth took the funeral home outside, I took downstairs, Sam took the basement, and Colby took the upstairs. I wanted to change it up though. If they would let me.

"Can I go to the graveyard?" I asked them.

"No," Sam shook his head.

"Why?" I asked. "Colby will be upstairs that's not fair," I complained.

"The graveyard is several blocks away from us. What if something happens to you?" Colby added giving me a hard look.

"But it would be another portal," I complained. Sam and Colby looked at each other.

"Don't tell Nate," Colby gave me the keys. I pointed to the camera.

"Don't tell Nate," I smiled moving towards the car.

"We call you, you answer, got it?!" Colby called.

"Rodger that!" I yelled back getting in the car. I looked at my phone seeing that it was at sixty percent. I turned on the camera.

"Alright guys so bless their hearts, they are letting me go alone," I smiled. "So my plan is to go to the graveyard and investigate. I could go get food instead, but I will sacrifice my well-being." I sighed driving down the road.

"It isn't even that far," I said pulling through the gates. "Now the fun begins." I sighed getting out of the car. I walked around the gravestones. "So David told us over here was where the bowers were buried. I really wish we could have seen where Mary was buried-" I heard a sound like a rock hitting a gravestone or something. "I'm just gonna act like I didn't hear that. Anyway, so Bernard is buried here by his brother. This could be a stupid question, but what I want to know is when did Bernard die." I said moving closer to the gravestone. 1926. "Oh well, he died like 30 years before Andrew and Mary." I heard another sound like a rock hitting a headstone, but it was closer this time. "Okay, let's move over toward this portal," I said not wanting to turn around. I felt like someone was there. Like someone was standing there, a real person. "So David told us that between these two trees is the portal," I said pointing between the trees.  "What if I just fucking disappeared." I laughed stepping through the trees. "Okay, I am going to get away from those now. I turned to look back at the car and the indoor car light was on. "Uh," I said turning the camera. "Are all those doors open?" I asked slowly moving forward. "The car light is on so they have to be open. I didn't do that?" I said looking around. What the fuck. "Someone has to be here," I whispered moving closer. "Hello?!" I called getting closer. All the doors were open, but there was no sign that anyone was actually in the car. "I am just going to walk around and make sure," I said slowly going around to check. "Oh god, the fucking trunk is open too!" I said closing it. "What the fuck guys?" I said closing the passenger door. I heard more rocks. One hit the side of the car. I jumped back. "What the fuck!" I said turning the camera. IT wasn't a rock though, it was a fucking bird. "What the fuck, what the fuck. No! I'm done!" I said running to the other side of the car. I turned it on and locked the car. "Holy shit! Holy shit! I am shaking so bad right now." I said backing out. "Jesus fuck! Was that a fucking bird!?" I got onto the main road and stopped the car for a moment. "What the actual fuck." I breathed leaning my forehead against the steering wheel. "Someone was there, they had to have been. I didn't open all the car doors, I have it on camera that I didn't." I drove forward again going for the house. I saw the three of them standing near the porch. I got out slowly.

"You will never believe what just fucking happened to me," I said walking over to them.

"They both just told me the same thing," Seth said giving us each an unsure look. I placed my hand over my heart. 

"Feel," I said taking his hand and putting it on my chest.

"Calm down, you might have a heart attack," Seth said making me sit on the stairs near Colby. Sam took my camera as I rested my head against the wall.
